¹Potete sedervi. Mi sembra come di ritornare a casa. Ho sentito il vostro pastore parlare delle cose meravigliose che il Signore ha compiuto in questa chiesa dalla mia ultima visita. Egli ha dichiarato che c'è stato quasi un risveglio continuo, un’effusione dello Spirito Santo. Oh! Non è meraviglioso trovarsi perfettamente nell'ora di Dio, al momento giusto? Ciò ci reca qualcosa. Ebbene, anche noi abbiamo avuto un risveglio nel tabernacolo. Vi dicevo che abbiamo avuto una serie di temi che trattano le Sette Epoche della Chiesa. Quando ho terminato, domenica scorsa, col quarto capitolo dell'Apocalisse... avevo circa trecentocinquanta o quattrocento persone raccolte.

²E mentre parlavo (avevo chiamato la fila di preghiera) del riflesso della Gloria della Shekinah sulle stelle e sul mare di vetro dove i sacrifici erano lavati, sapete, che rappresentano i peccatori, le acque di separazione... Mentre parlavo su ciò e mi accingevo a pregare per i malati, l'Angelo del Signore scese davanti a tutti ed andò a mettersi nell'angolo della sala e trecento o più persone Lo hanno visto durante quindici minuti gridando, piangendo e lodando Dio. Tutti guardavano... Era la prima volta che Egli appariva così davanti ad una chiesa. È entrato ed è andato a mettersi in quel posto.

³Dissi: “Potete vederLo?” E tutti cominciarono a gridare, a svenire... Là c’era la grande luce, color ambra, della Colonna di fuoco, perfettamente rotonda. Poi cominciò ad attenuarsi e ad adombrare ciascuna di queste epoche della chiesa, esattamente come le avevo insegnate io, in questa Colonna di fuoco. Dio sa che è la verità, mentre mi tengo qui dinanzi alla Sua Bibbia. Viviamo indubbiamente nel tempo della fine.

⁴Oh! Sono così contento che il profeta ha promesso che, sul far della sera, ci sarebbe stata luce. In quest’ora in cui nel mondo tutto è così buio, sappiamo che viviamo e camminiamo nella luce, la luce che Egli ha promesso di darci. E, stasera, siamo i privilegiati che usufruiscono di queste cose in questo tempo della fine.

⁵Ora, ricordate, la chiesa non sarà... non sarà qualcosa di grande e di importante. In ogni epoca, essa è sempre stata una minoranza, giusto una piccola... Durante le epoche oscure, essa si è quasi completamente spenta. E così sarà pure in questa epoca della chiesa di Laodicea.

⁶Il fratello Jack mi ha invitato a venire qui, qualche volta, e predicare queste Sette Epoche della Chiesa. Spero di poterne avere l'opportunità. Oh! Abbiamo certamente apprezzato ciò, a casa, di vedere in che modo lo Spirito Santo ci ha benedetti.

⁷Ora, da qui andremo a Beaumont, poi andremo sulla costa occidentale; quindi ritorneremo per andare nell'Ohio, poi scenderemo in Virginia; nella Carolina del Nord, di là andremo poi a Springfield, Chicago, poi andremo nel nord della Colombia Britannica, a Fort Sant John ed a Grande Prairie, Dawson Creek, attraverseremo questa regione ed io spero di essere di ritorno qui a giugno, se il Signore vuole. Tutto ciò in sei mesi e poi ritornare in tempo, se piace al Signore, per andare oltreoceano.

⁸Adesso, siamo felici di essere qui, questa sera, e di vedere tante persone con i volti raggianti e i cuori aperti. È un tempo meraviglioso, non è così? Siamo in aspettazione questa sera, io sono in aspettazione, contando che il Signore ci farà conoscere, questa sera, la Sua potenza e la Sua gloria e mostrerà Sé stesso a noi. E che Egli lo faccia o che non lo faccia, crederemo lo stesso in Lui.

⁹Ho appena lasciato una donna che è venuta dalla Germania. Ha perso un bambino alcune settimane fa. Lei era presente quel giorno, in California, quando portarono un piccolo bambino che era morto una mattina verso le tre o le quattro. I genitori avevano viaggiato tutto il giorno ed erano circa le tre, le quattro o le cinque, sì circa le sei del pomeriggio. La madre si era seduta sul sedile posteriore dell'automobile, tenendo nelle braccia questa piccola forma fredda.

¹⁰Quando arrivarono dove mi trovavo, a San Bernardino, essi portarono il piccolo bambino verso di me ed io dissi: “Oh! Da quanto tempo il bambino è morto?”

¹¹Lei rispose: “Da stamattina presto”.

¹²Presi la piccola forma fredda che era già diventata rigida e, mentre queste persone stavano intorno, tenendola nelle mie braccia, cominciai a pregare il nostro prezioso Signore. Sentii il bambino che stava diventando caldo. Lo tenevo sempre e dopo alcuni minuti cominciò a sgambettare ed a piangere. Lo porsi allora a sua madre.

¹³Così quando... Ora, vedete, noi non divulghiamo queste cose. La ragione è che oggi c'è troppa propaganda al riguardo. Proviamo ad avere qualcosa di grande per fare della pubblicità. No, questo non deve servire a ciò. Il mondo non lo riceverà in ogni caso. Egli si rivolge alla Chiesa; questo è per la Chiesa, il popolo di Dio. Queste grandi cose prestigiose non funzionano nel Regno di Dio.

¹⁴Le persone saranno sorprese quando scopriranno chi sono i credenti e chi non lo è. Sarà come quando venne Giovanni. Alla prima venuta di Gesù, furono pochi i veri credenti che lo ricevettero realmente, come Anna che stava nel Tempio e Giovanni il Battista. Ora, noi aspettiamo la Sua venuta.

¹⁵Questa povera madre stava là. Il suo bambino era morto in Germania. Suo marito è un cappellano. Mi chiamarono per telefono, da molto lontano, circa cinque volte, di giorno e di notte, per chiedermi di venire e per sapere se Dio avrebbe risuscitato questo piccolo bambino. Dissi: “Lasciate che vada a pregare”. Ed io andai a pregare. Pregai quel pomeriggio e la sera.

¹⁶Vi mostrerò se i medici credono o meno. Lei aveva già dato il mio libro al medico, affinché lo leggesse. Credo fosse intitolato: “Un profeta visita l'Africa”, o qualcosa del genere. Lei disse: “Dio risusciterà questo bambino”. La povera mamma disse: “Dio risusciterà il bambino”. Ed il bambino era morto prima che loro se ne rendessero conto, fra le 4:00 e le 5:00. Dunque, comunicarono la notizia al padre, alla base dove lui si trovava. Ed il bambino era morto nella notte. Così il medico dichiarò: “Bene, vi dico ciò che farò. Andrò segretamente laggiù e ricollegherò l'ossigeno”. Ed egli lasciò quel bambino, per due giorni, collegato all'ossigeno, in attesa. In quanto a me, stavo qui a pregare. Essi mi avrebbero portato laggiù con un aereo a reazione. Potevo partire da qui con un jet dell'esercito per andare in Germania ed essere di ritorno lo stesso giorno.

¹⁷Una mattina, quasi all'alba, mi alzai mentre mia moglie usciva dalla camera. Mi ero appena svegliato ed ero ancora disteso quando sentii Qualcosa entrare nella stanza. Guardai e c'era Qualcosa che si spostava nella camera. Scattai in piedi e dissi: “Signore, cosa vorresti far conoscere al Tuo servitore?” Egli rispose: “Non opporti, è la mano del Signore”. Vedete?

¹⁸Dunque, la chiamai al telefono e le dissi: “No. Dio ha chiamato il vostro bambino”. Così, quando è venuta a vederci, l'altra sera... l'ho lasciata ieri a casa quando sono partito. Lei disse: “Cos’è stato, fratello Branham? La debolezza della mia fede? Risposi: “Tu hai una grande fede. Avete pregato per il vostro bambino; tu e tuo marito vi siete aggrappati a ciò, dicendo: Dio risusciterà questo bambino. Ed Egli ha rifiutato di farlo perché Egli sa ciò che sia migliore. E malgrado ciò, voi Lo amate. Questa è una fede vera”.

¹⁹Quando le montagne vengono spostate, chiunque può avere fede. Ma lasciate che una volta ciò vada diversamente ed osservate come agirà. Ecco quando provate se avete fede o meno. “Ed ogni figliolo che viene a Dio deve essere provato e corretto da Dio”. Così, ricordatevi che le nostre prove producono pazienza e che la pazienza produce la speranza e così via. Così, noi ci aggrappiamo a Dio, che ci benedica o meno, siamo là che crediamo ugualmente in Lui perché l'ha promesso. E per vedere in che modo Egli agisce.

²⁰Adesso, prima di avvicinare questo soggetto e la lettura della Parola, perché la fede viene da ciò che si ode, ciò che si ode dalla Parola di Dio... E, adesso, non desidero dilungarmi troppo, perché il fratello Jack, quando mi ha chiamato per chiedermi di passare di qua, il che sono felice di farlo, mi ha detto che avevano dei malati che desideravano che si pregasse per loro. Questo è così come abbiamo pensato di fare; parlarvi un momento, stasera, prima di pregare per i malati. Ho mandato Billy, qui, questa sera, ed egli mi ha detto che aveva distribuito dei biglietti di preghiera. C'era proprio una grande folla. Ebbene, possiamo chiamarli tramite i biglietti di preghiera e se non lo facciamo è perché non è necessario.

²¹Così, prima di accostarci alla Sua Parola, avviciniamoci a Lui per un momento di preghiera. Ci sarebbe qualcuno che vorrebbe essere ricordato, stasera, in questa preghiera? Dio vi benedica. Dio risponde alle vostre preghiere. Egli conosce i vostri bisogni. Adesso, con i vostri capi chini, mi chiedo se c'è un peccatore, uomo o donna, ragazzo o ragazza che vorrebbe dire: “Ricordati di me, fratello Branham, questa sera, davanti a Dio, mentre preghi”. Vorreste alzare la mano? Dio ti benedica. Dio ti benedica. Dio ti benedica. Ve ne sono molti in tutta la sala. Circa dieci o quindici mani si sono alzate, di peccatori. Se ce ne sono alcuni senza la Luce di Dio nella loro anima, tramite lo Spirito Santo, vorreste alzare la mano dicendo: “Ricordati di me fratello Branham?” Dio vi benedica. Oh! Vedo ovunque delle mani.

²²Padre nostro celeste, ci accostiamo al Tuo Trono di grazia e di misericordia. Noi veniamo umilmente nel nome di Gesù perché siamo sicuri che Egli ci ascolterà. Perché Egli ha dichiarato: “Se chiedete qualcosa al Padre nel Mio nome, Io lo farò”. Così, sappiamo che questa promessa è vera. Poco importa quanto la nostra incredulità gli faccia ostacolo, è tuttavia vera. Così, noi crediamo, stasera, con tutto quello che c'è in noi, che Tu ci ascolti. Noi crediamo che Tu sei qui e che esaudisci specialmente le nostre preghiere per questi peccatori che hanno alzato la mano. Possano vedere la Luce di Dio questa sera. Possa questo altare trovarli prosternati, implorando la misericordia per la loro anima peccatrice. Concedilo Signore.

²³Io prego per quelli che non hanno lo Spirito Santo nella loro vita per guidarli. Possa Dio venire in questa torre di controllo, stasera, e prenderne possesso. Guidando poi la loro vita in quest’ora oscura mentre il tempo è giunto in cui le nazioni non sanno cosa fare. Ma Tu sei la Via, la Verità e la Vita. Siamo così felici di averTi incontrato, Signore, anni fa, così caro ai nostri cuori. Tu sei un aiuto sempre presente in tempo di distretta. Io prego affinché, stasera, ciascuno di loro sia riempito dello Spirito Santo.

²⁴Benedici i malati e gli afflitti che sono nella sala e fuori dalla sala, in convalescenza o dovunque siano. Ti preghiamo di essere misericordioso verso di loro, Padre. Adesso, vogliamo chiederTi di benedire la chiesa, di continuare a benedire. Vogliamo ringraziarTi di ciò che fai, qui, per questo corpo locale di credenti. Queste persone sante e devote che temono il Tuo nome, Signore, e credono che Tu verrai un giorno per riceverci. Chiunque di noi che dormirà nella polvere, non sarà un ostacolo, perché la tromba di Dio suonerà e i morti in Cristo risusciteranno per primi. Partiremo comunque. La morte non può fermarci. Niente può impedirci di incontrarLo.

²⁵Oh Dio, siamo così contenti che il sangue di Gesù è applicato alla nostra anima e che il Suo Spirito rimane in noi. Ti preghiamo di fare di tutti noi, questa sera, dei cittadini del Regno. Oh Dio, guarisci i malati e gli afflitti e prenditi la gloria. E mentre ci avviciniamo alla Tua Parola, adesso, per trovare un messaggio da portare a questa assemblea che aspetta; alcuni aspettano di essere benedetti, altri aspettano di essere riempiti, alcuni aspettano di essere guariti, altri aspettando di essere salvati, possa lo Spirito Santo provvedere per ciascuno di noi, Signore, secondo i nostri bisogni. Ed adesso, il mio bisogno profondo sei Tu, Signore. Vieni e parla, Oh Dio, possa lo Spirito Santo muoversi sulla Parola, mentre Essa viene annunciata, come Egli si muoveva, al principio, sopra le acque, e disse: “Sia la luce!” Perché Te lo chiediamo nel nome di Gesù. Amen.

²⁶Durante la lettura, se volete prendere nota... Durante queste ultime settimane, ho preso l'abitudine di parlare e di scrivere differenti passi delle Scritture ed io ne ho qui circa quattro pagine, e non so come arriverò a prenderli tutti. Se volete annotare questi passi, siete dunque pienamente liberi di farlo. Penso, talvolta, che dato che ora la fine è così vicina, di insegnare un po’ su questo argomento. Potete prendere Giovanni al capitolo 1°. Leggeremo un passo della Scrittura, nel capitolo 1, ed il secondo passo nel capitolo 4°. San Giovanni capitolo 1, leggeremo dal verso 40 fino al verso 43. Al capitolo 4°, leggeremo i versi 24, 25 e 26. Giovanni capitolo 1, verso 40:

40. Andrea, fratello di Simon Pietro, era uno dei due che avevano udito Giovanni e avevano seguito Gesù.

41. Egli per primo trovò suo fratello Simone e gli disse: «Abbiamo trovato il Messia» (che, tradotto, vuol dire Cristo);

42. e lo condusse da Gesù. Gesù lo guardò e disse: «Tu sei Simone, il figlio di Giovanni; tu sarai chiamato Cefa» (che si traduce «Pietro»).

25. Ed al verso 24, del capitolo 4°, leggiamo questo:

24. «Dio è Spirito, e quelli che lo adorano devono adorarlo in spirito e verità».

25. La donna gli disse: «Io so che il Messia, che è chiamato Cristo, deve venire; quando sarà venuto lui ci annunzierà ogni cosa».

26. Gesù le disse: «Io sono, colui che ti parla».

²⁷Desidero estrarre da là una parola di cinque lettere, che serva da testo: M-e-s-s-i-a, Messia. Desidero che il mio soggetto, stasera, sia centrato sulla parola: “Il Messia”. La parola stessa significa “l'Unto”; o potrebbe essere utilizzata per parlare del Re unto. Ciò significa anche Cristo. Ma noi la utilizzeremo primieramente nel senso “del Re unto”.

²⁸Dapprima ciò appare in Genesi 3:15, se volete annotare alcuni passi delle Scritture. Il Seme promesso della donna che doveva essere l'Unto. Attraverso le Scritture, tutti i profeti hanno parlato di Colui che doveva venire: il Re unto. Mi piace questa parola “unto”. Dio che unge qualcuno. Ed Egli doveva essere un Re che doveva condurre Israele alla libertà nei confronti di tutte le nazioni e fare d’essi dei capi sulle nazioni. È ciò che il Re unto doveva fare.

²⁹Credo che Gesù di Nazareth abbia risposto in ogni punto alla descrizione che tutti i profeti avevano dato al Messia. Credo che in Isaia 9:5, dopo che Israele aveva chiesto un segno, Dio disse: “Io darò loro un segno eterno”. Un segno, un segno eterno. Un segno che sarà valido per sempre. Egli disse: “Una vergine concepirà. Sarà un segno. E Colui che nascerà da lei sarà chiamato Consigliere, Principe della Pace, Dio Potente e Padre eterno”.

³⁰Credo che Gesù rispondesse alla descrizione che era stata fatta, in ciascuna delle promesse di Jehovah a proposito della venuta del Re e Messia. Poco importa se molti credono che abbia fallito nella Sua opera, Egli è tuttavia Re. Egli è il Re adesso, è il Re dei santi. L'Apocalisse lo dice. “Tu, Re dei santi”. Egli ha un Regno. Non siete contenti, stasera, di appartenere a questo Impero? All'Impero dell'Unto? E non solo, ma ci ha fatto re e sacerdoti per Dio, degli unti per Dio.

³¹Ora, sebbene Gesù abbia risposto a tutte questi requisiti... e gli Ebrei avevano letto queste promesse durante gli anni, come è stato possibile che ciò sia passato accanto a loro senza che lo vedessero? Questi teologi, così istruiti nelle Scritture, così scrupolosi nelle Scritture, tuttavia, mancarono di riconoscerLo quale Unto. Sembra che questo non sarebbe potuto accadere. Apparentemente avrebbero dovuto riconoscerLo, essendo ben istruiti. Ma Dio li aveva accecati.

³²Ciò mostra che era la mano di Dio. Egli era fin troppo conosciuto. I Suoi segni del Messia provavano che Egli fosse il Messia, provavano che fosse l'Unto. E per essi mancarlo, doveva essere di certo la mano di Dio che li aveva accecati, altrimenti non l'avrebbero mancato. Ed oggi è la stessa cosa. Se il Vangelo è nascosto, è nascosto a coloro che sono ciechi. Ed il solo modo per loro di ricevere la vista è attraverso Dio.

³³Ora, non leggeremo Isaia 9:5, tuttavia è detto che Egli doveva essere il Padre eterno, il Dio potente. Quando Dio fece l'uomo, in Genesi 1:26, ciò mostra (se state annotando questo passo della Scrittura, è Genesi 1:26), mostra che, innanzitutto, Dio fece l'uomo per essere un dio. L'uomo fu creato per essere un dio, un dio inferiore. Egli fu creato ad immagine e somiglianza di Dio. Aveva delle mani come Dio, dei piedi come Dio, degli occhi, delle orecchie, un'intelligenza come Dio, tutta la sua composizione, perché era un figlio di Dio. Gesù si riferì a lui come di un dio. Gesù disse: “Come potete condannarmi quando dico di essere il Figlio di Dio, non è scritto nella vostra legge che voi siete degli déi? E se sono chiamati déi coloro a quali la Parola di Dio è stata rivolta, come potete condannarmi quando dico che sono il Figlio di Dio?” Egli si riferiva ai profeti, agli unti, gli unti inferiori.

³⁴Gesù era talmente unto da essere più di un profeta. Gesù era talmente unto al punto che in Lui abitava corporalmente la pienezza della Deità. Egli era Dio. I profeti avevano lo stesso genere di unzione, solamente in misura inferiore.

³⁵In Genesi 1:26, quando Dio fece l'uomo, fece di lui un dio, perché gli diede un impero. Egli aveva il dominio, aveva il potere sugli uccelli dell'aria, sul bestiame, sui venti, sulle onde, sui pesci del mare, su tutto. Aveva il dominio su tutto. Era un governatore, un governatore unto, poiché era ad immagine e somiglianza di Dio, con un dominio terrestre. Ecco perché la Bibbia dice che la terra geme, sospira, aspettando la manifestazione dei figli di Dio. Il mondo aspetta che l'uomo ritorni alla sua giusta condizione.

³⁶Dunque, egli è fatto ad immagine e somiglianza di Dio. Quando Dio lo creò, gli diede del Suo Spirito, una parte della Sua Vita, ed egli è ad immagine e somiglianza di Dio. Ecco perché l'uomo, nel suo stato naturale, nel modo in cui siamo adesso… voi potete vedere bene che lui è molto più di un animale, come loro vorrebbero farci credere, perché l'uomo nel suo stato decaduto, sebbene sia un figlio di Dio decaduto, può tuttavia migliorarsi. Lui ha un'intelligenza. Si costruisce delle case migliori, con migliori condizioni di vita. Migliora le condizioni per viaggiare. Ora può lanciarsi in aria a più di tremila chilometri l'ora con un jet o un missile.

³⁷È arrivato ad un punto in cui può fare quasi il giro del mondo in ventiquattro ore mandando un satellite nell'aria, sotto lo strato atmosferico, dove l'aria gira, l'orbita del mondo, restando immobile ad osservare il mondo passargli sotto e fare il giro completo nelle ventiquattro ore, semplicemente restando fermo in un luogo. Alzarsi nell'aria, restare là e poi riscendere ed essere di nuovo a casa. Semplicemente trovandosi nel punto in cui la terra fa girare la sua corrente generando così i venti e via dicendo. Il mondo gira a circa quattromila chilometri l'ora. No, direi piuttosto a millesettecentosessanta chilometri l'ora. Ha circa quarantamila chilometri di circonferenza. Compie un giro ogni ventiquattro ore, ciò farebbe circa millesettecentosessanta chilometri l'ora. Ora, l'uomo si alza nell'aria e sfida ciò; si tiene al di sotto della gravità ed osserva il mondo passargli sotto. Egli è brillante ed intelligente. È fatto ad immagine e somiglianza di Dio ed in lui si trova la luce.

³⁸Per esempio, quando un uomo riceve la salvezza, la Luce che entra in lui somiglia quasi a questo piccolo bottone bianco sulla mia camicia. Questo è quando Dio entra nella parte interiore di un uomo. Nella parte di un uomo... o piuttosto un uomo è costituito secondo il modello di un tabernacolo: c'è il cortile esterno, poi il luogo santo e il luogo santissimo; e la gloria della Shekinah è all’interno del velo.

³⁹Dunque, alla porta esterna di un uomo si trovano i cinque sensi che controllano l'entrata del suo corpo. All'interno, dove si trova la sua anima, o piuttosto l'anima è la natura dello spirito che si trova dentro al suo cuore e ciò produce la sua anima che crea l'atmosfera intorno a lui; là vi sono pure cinque entrate. Poi, all'interno, v’è solamente una porta, un'entrata per entrare nella gloria della Shekinah, una porta dalla quale Dio può entrare in lui e prenderne il controllo; e questo avviene tramite la nostra propria volontà. Se lo volete o no, spetta a voi decidere. Ma l’unico viale aperto che un uomo possiede, per permettere a Dio di entrare nel suo cuore, è la propria volontà. Quella facoltà di libero arbitrio lo colloca nella stessa condizione in cui stavano Adamo ed Eva. Potete scegliere ciò che è giusto o ciò che è sbagliato, quello che volete.

⁴⁰La propria volontà. Poi Dio entra nel cuore dell'uomo, che è lo spirito, poi lo spirito produce l'anima e dopo l'anima dimora nel corpo. Ora, quando un uomo si converte ciò comincia nel suo cuore, come questo piccolo bottone bianco. Questa parte è Dio. Quando egli nasce di nuovo dallo Spirito di Dio, lo Spirito di Dio dimora in lui.

⁴¹Mentre egli lascia questo Spirito crescere, togliere ogni radice di amarezza e fare penetrare di nuovo la via di Dio in lui, può ridiventare come era nel giardino dell’Eden. Gesù disse in Marco 11:23: «In verità, in verità vi dico che se dite a questo monte: “Togliti di là”, e non dubitate nel vostro cuore, ma credete che ciò che avete detto accadrà, allora lo vedrete compiersi». Ciò lo rende di nuovo supremo, lo piazza di nuovo in quella stessa condizione.

⁴²Ora, noi siamo formati da raggi di luce. In noi si trova della luce cosmica. Ora, questa luce cosmica è la luce che permette loro di prendere dei raggi-X. I raggi-X non vengono dalla luce dei raggi-X, vengono dalla vostra propria luce. E se questa luce cosmica potesse essere portata in un punto in cui non è più della luce cosmica ma della Luce Eterna, Dio potrebbe abitare sovranamente in noi e controllare il nostro pensiero, il nostro camminare, il nostro parlare. Allora non sarebbe più l'uomo, ma Dio nell'uomo.

⁴³Penso che vi stia assordando con questo microfono, poiché sento l'eco che ciò produce, ciò deforma la voce, è una voce terribile. Non sono io, è questo. Così, tenetelo in considerazione.

⁴⁴Ora, egli ha la Luce, la Vita. La Vita eterna è la Luce di Dio che dimora nell'uomo. E più egli si sottomette allo Spirito, più ciò che è dell'uomo, del peccatore, sparisce e somiglierà di più a Dio.

⁴⁵Qui, non molto tempo, scattarono una foto, che esaminarono ai raggi-X, di un uomo che prega per un malato (il Reader's Digest ne ha parlato), ed essi scoprirono un raggio di luce che veniva da uno degli uomini, non da tutti, ma le mani di uno degli uomini riflettevano un raggio di luce, quando essi misero un foglio di piombo sotto la mano di quest’uomo. Penso che voi stessi l'avete letto. In Inghilterra, essi mandano dei guaritori, come loro li chiamano, e in tutti gli ospedali c'è l'80% in più di guarigioni per mezzo della guarigione divina che per le cure mediche.

⁴⁶Il Reader's Digest l'ha riportato qui. Ciò era nel Newsweek ed il Reader's Digest l’ha preso e l’ha provato. Essi hanno scoperto che c'era un raggio di luce. Quando quest’uomo ha posto le sue mani su questa persona con sincerità, senza sapere che loro facevano ciò, e pregando con fervore, loro scattarono una foto, che esaminarono ai raggi-X, e si scoprì che una luce usciva dalle sue mani. Dio sapeva di cosa parlava quando disse: “Imporranno le mani ai malati e questi saranno guariti”. Egli sa di cosa parla. Oh! Vorrei vedere la chiesa arrivare nel punto in cui Dio voglia che sia!

⁴⁷Quando Dio fu fatto carne e divenne il Messia... allora se noi possiamo sottometterci per essere unti come Lui, diventiamo dei piccoli messia, delle piccole luci. È ciò che la chiesa è tenuta ad essere: delle luci, dei piccoli unti. Ecco ciò che è la Chiesa di Dio. Le sue luci manifestate sono la luce del Messia, del Cristo risorto, nel Suo popolo. Gli unti portano la Sua luce in tutte le epoche della chiesa. Talvolta si spegne quasi completamente, poi ritorna.

⁴⁸L'unto di Dio, la chiesa messianica di Dio. Così, “Messia” significa l'Unto ed il Re, allora se la chiesa è unta dallo Spirito del Messia, diventa un messia inferiore, ma pur sempre un messia, perché ha la Sua Luce, riflette la Sua potenza, riflette la Sua gloria, riflette il Suo dominio; è dunque un messia. Oh! Come lo riflette nel Suo Regno, nel Suo dominio. Il problema, oggi, è che abbiamo organizzato a morte la chiesa ed abbiamo un’organizzazione al posto della Luce del Messia. Abbiamo dei Russelliti, dei proseliti e tutti gli altri tipi di luce, ma abbiamo bisogno della Luce del Messia. Ciò di cui la chiesa ha bisogno oggi è la Luce del Messia. Oh! Io Lo amo per la Sua bontà.

⁴⁹Ora, questo è vero. Dio ha chiamato dei messia. Dio ci ha chiamati e noi diventiamo re e sacerdoti per Dio. Come Gesù era il Sommo Sacerdote di Dio, così noi diventiamo dei sacerdoti inferiori. La pienezza di Dio dimorava in Gesù per far brillare l'espressione di Dio al mondo, perché Dio era in Cristo riconciliando il mondo a Sé stesso. E come Dio era in Cristo riconciliando il mondo a Se stesso, così Dio viene nella Sua Chiesa ed unge per Lui dei piccoli messia. Oh! Comprendete ciò?

⁵⁰Le stesse cose che Egli ha fatto sono nella Sua Chiesa. La stessa potenza che Egli aveva è nella Sua Chiesa. La Sua Chiesa diventa il Suo dominio ed Egli è Re su questo dominio. Noi siamo re e sacerdoti ed offriamo dei sacrifici spirituali a Dio, il frutto delle nostre labbra che danno lode al Suo nome. Amen! Oh! Eccovi: dei piccoli messia, dei piccoli unti. Unti da chi? Da Colui che è il Capo. Unti dal grande Messia.

⁵¹Oh! Quando Gesù era sulla terra, essi non potevano negare che Egli fosse il Messia, perché faceva i segni del Messia. Gli Ebrei erano accecati, ed è questo il motivo per cui non videro e non vedono i Suoi segni di Messia. Ecco qual’è, stasera, la faccenda con la chiesa: è accecata. Il mondo esterno non può vedere ciò, perché il dio di questa terra ha accecato i loro occhi in merito alle cose spirituali. Oh! Se soltanto potessimo comprendere.

⁵²Gesù andò e compì i segni del Messia; ma le persone Lo bestemmiavano. E se hanno bestemmiato il grande Re unto, il Messia, a maggior ragione chiameranno le persone della Sua casa, del Suo Regno, Belzebù. Ed essi vi chiameranno ancor peggio di quanto non abbiano chiamato Lui: “Santi rotolanti e santi saltellanti” o qualcosa del genere. Loro hanno sempre una parola cattiva per designarli, perché ciò viene dal diavolo. E se hanno chiamato quelli di casa Sua... se hanno chiamato Lui Belzebù, quanto più chiameranno così quelli di casa Sua! Tuttavia, ciò rimane allo stesso modo.

⁵³Adesso, voi dite: “Fratello Branham, Gesù aveva il segno del Messia. Ma come facciamo a sapere cos’era questo segno?” Ebbene, la Bibbia dice che quando il Messia sarebbe venuto, Egli sarebbe stato un profeta che avrebbe mostrato i segni di un profeta. Ogni insegnante delle Scritture sa ciò. Mosè disse: “Il Signore vostro Dio vi susciterà un profeta come me”. Quando Egli compiva questi segni mostrando chi era, come qui al capitolo 4, quando disse alla donna che aveva avuto cinque mariti... Lei disse: “Signore, vedo che sei un profeta. Noi sappiamo che quando il Messia verrà, ci annuncerà ogni cosa”. Gesù le disse: “Sono io, io che ti parlo”. Lei corse in città e disse a tutti: “Venite a vedere un uomo che mi ha detto tutto quello che ho fatto; non è forse Lui il Messia?” Gesù disse di Sé stesso: “Se non faccio le opere di Mio Padre, allora non Mi credete. Se affermo di avere l'unzione e non faccio le opere di Dio, perché sono unto da Lui, con Lui... “Non sono Io che faccio le opere, è il Padre che dimora in Me che fa le opere. E se non faccio queste opere, allora non credetemi. Ma se le faccio, credete a queste opere”.

⁵⁴Ora, quello era per il Messia. Per i piccoli messia, la chiesa, ecco che viene. Siete pronti? In Giovanni 14:12, Gesù disse: “Chi crede in me farà anch'egli le opere che faccio io”. Dei piccoli messia, è vero. Dei piccoli messia, la rappresentazione del Messia sulla terra. In Marco 16° Egli disse: “Andate in tutto il mondo e predicate il Vangelo. Questi segni accompagneranno i piccoli messia: chi avrà creduto e sarà stato battezzato sarà salvato; ma chi non avrà creduto sarà condannato. E questi segni accompagneranno coloro che avranno creduto”. Fin dove? In tutto il mondo. A chi? Ad ogni creatura. Oh! Sono così contento.

⁵⁵Come farete a togliere ciò, dicendo: “È stato solo per i discepoli”. Per i discepoli? Egli disse: “In tutto il mondo e ad ogni creatura. Questi segni accompagneranno coloro che avranno creduto”. Mi chiedo in che modo le persone che non credono ai segni e ai miracoli che seguono i credenti, potrebbero leggere la storia della chiesa e poi pensare che ciò sia cessato con gli apostoli. Le Epoche della chiesa... Ho letto “I Padri di Nicea”, “Il Concilio di Nicea”, oh, tutti gli antichi scrittori ai quali si possa pensare; ho letto “Le due Babilonie” di Hislop e molti altri vecchi libri. E fino al tempo della chiesa Cattolica primitiva, durante i primi seicento anni dopo Cristo, ci furono Ireneo, Martino, Columba e tutti questi santi uomini che predicarono il battesimo nel nome di Gesù Cristo, la remissione dei peccati, il parlare in lingue, che risuscitarono i morti, guarirono i malati e i segni e i prodigi li seguirono fino alle Epoche Oscure ed attraverso le Epoche Oscure.

⁵⁶C’è sempre stata, durante tutto il tempo, una minoranza che serbava questa Luce splendente del Vangelo. Chi erano questi? Dei piccoli messia. Coloro che serbavano la rappresentazione del Regno del Messia. Gesù non fallì mai. Lui fece esattamente ciò che gli era stato incaricato di fare. Egli è venuto per stabilire un Regno e l'ha fatto. Il Regno di Dio entra nel cuore tramite la potenza dello Spirito Santo. Lo Spirito di Dio viene su una Chiesa unta per compiere gli stessi segni e prodigi che Egli ha fatto e provare così come il Messia è Re del Suo Regno. Amen! Mi piacerebbe giubilare un po’, adesso!

⁵⁷Oh! Quando ci sono così tante persone con una carta tesa: “Venite ad unirvi a noi”. “Venite ad unirvi a questo e a quello” e “Noi abbiamo la più grande... abbiamo questo, abbiamo la più costosa”, che differenza fa? Tutto ciò è follia e perirà. Ma il Regno di Dio è stabilito nel cuore e nell'anima di un uomo, tramite la rivelazione di Gesù Cristo. Ed Egli disse: “Su questa pietra Io edificherò la Mia Chiesa, e le porte dell’Ades non la potranno vincere”. Su questa rivelazione. E, per avere la rivelazione, diventate un credente e credete che questi segni accompagneranno coloro che avranno creduto. Vedete cos’è il Messia? Il Messia è il Regno di Dio, gli unti. Coloro che sono unti dello stesso Spirito con il quale Egli era unto.

Una donna gli disse un giorno: “I miei figli si siederanno uno alla Tua destra ed uno alla Tua sinistra?” Egli rispose: “Potete bere il calice che Io devo bere ed essere battezzati del battesimo di cui Io sono battezzato?”

Lei disse: “Sì”.

Ed Egli disse: “Lo potrete. Ma per quanto riguarda l’essere seduti alla Mia destra ed alla Mia sinistra nel Regno, ciò non dipende da me”. Dunque, ha mostrato che noi potevamo bere lo stesso calice di persecuzione, essere chiamarti Belzebù o altro ed essere battezzati dello stesso Spirito con il quale era battezzato Lui.

⁵⁸Dunque, se Egli fu chiamato il Messia, ciò che Egli era, perché era unto con lo Spirito Santo… e, qualunque chiesa unta dello stesso Spirito Santo, è un piccolo messia, un dio più piccolo. Ed un giorno, quando questo corpo sarà risuscitato... spero che prima di quel momento là, Dio potrà trovare delle persone che manifesteranno la Sua potenza in tutta la pienezza che ci si aspetta.

⁵⁹Il Messia, l'Unto, un Re per liberare, un Re… voi siete re e sacerdoti; re per fare entrare, sacerdoti per servire. Un Messia. I Suoi segni dovevano seguire in tutte le epoche per riflettere la Sua Luce, la Sua presenza nel Suo Regno, con il Suo popolo.

⁶⁰Ora, non avete bisogno di morire per ricevere questo, voi dovete morire spiritualmente, ma non avete bisogno di morire fisicamente. È nell’interiore che Dio entra per avere il controllo su di voi. Mentre Egli pressa in voi, non abbiate nessuna radice di amarezza, né odio, né malizia, né conflitto che Lo farebbe di nuovo ripartire. Fate uscire da voi tutta la cattiveria, la superstizione e l'incredulità. Ed ogni volta che fate uscire l'incredulità, Dio entra in voi e prende il controllo. Fate uscire l'incredulità. Egli disse a Giosuè: “Ogni luogo che la pianta del vostro piede calcherà, io ve lo do”.

⁶¹E stasera, mentre entriamo nel Regno di Dio, facciamo uscire tutti i Filistei miscredenti, tutti gli Amorrei, gli Amalechiti e gli altri. Gettiamoli fuori da noi: “Prendiamo possesso”. Amen! Mi piace questo.

Dicono: “Il tempo dei miracoli è passato”.

“Tu, Amorreo, esci da me. Ho posto là l'impronta del mio piede, ho preso possesso”.

“Il fatto di avere delle visioni non esiste”.

“Esci da qui, tu, Amalechita, io sto arrivando”.

⁶²Eccovi. Fate uscire ciò. Da questo piccolo bottone, ciò prende possesso del vostro essere, si spande, Dio opera attraverso di voi, in voi e intorno a voi. Non meraviglia che Elia stese il suo corpo su quel bambino morto ed egli ritornò in vita. Era Dio in quell’uomo. Dio aveva preso possesso. Egli era unto. Gesù l'ha detto.

⁶³Ogni profeta di Dio nell’Antico Testamento era unto dallo Spirito Santo. Essi lo erano. Allora erano delle luci più piccole. Egli era la pienezza di Dio, essendo il Messia. Essi erano allora dei piccoli messia. Dei messia più piccoli. Perché essi erano unti con lo stesso Spirito con il quale Egli era unto, soltanto che Egli Lo aveva nella pienezza. Ed ogni uomo, oggi, che ha ricevuto il vero battesimo dello Spirito Santo è unto dello stesso Spirito che stava su Gesù di Nazareth, il Quale andava intorno facendo del bene e guarendo i malati. Oh! Mi fa sentire bene sapere che, oggi, Egli vive.

⁶⁴C'è qualcosa riguardo all'uomo. Egli è un dio. Fu fatto per essere un dio. Il suo proposito qui, sulla terra, era di essere un dio per avere il dominio su tutto ciò che vi si trova. Oh! Non lasciatevi stupire, adesso, perché ho ancora altri riferimenti biblici scritti qui.

⁶⁵La scorsa sera, ho visto in una trasmissione televisiva, un uomo con una fede psichica, mentale, che poggiava un bicchiere d’acqua su qualcosa, poi tenendosi a distanza, continuava a concentrarsi su questo bicchiere d’acqua fino a farlo andare in pezzi. Tramite concentrazione, osservando questo bicchiere d’acqua, il bicchiere si ruppe e l'acqua si sparse. Semplicemente tramite una pura concentrazione mentale. E perché? È la sua natura, la sua composizione. Se può fare ciò, se ha un potere in lui che può rompere un bicchiere d'acqua con il pensiero, sebbene egli sia un peccatore, ciò mostra che c'è qualcosa che è stata posta in quell’uomo. È in una condizione pervertita e decaduta. Ma se quest’uomo potesse solamente ritornare a Dio e lasciare che Dio entri in lui, ebbene, con quel potere del Regno di Dio... Egli non aveva un filo conduttore, era come un fucile da caccia, ha semplicemente sparato in tutte le direzioni. Ma se lo spirito che è in quest’uomo può essere convertito e voi mettete Cristo là, in modo che abbia un Conduttore… un conduttore è un filo che conduce ciò, (amen!) e che quest’uomo abbia la stessa fede nel Conduttore della Parola di Dio, allora può risuscitare i morti, purificare i lebbrosi e cacciare i demoni. Amen!

⁶⁶Egli è foggiato come un dio, somiglia a Dio. Certo. È la ragione per la quale Dio era uomo e l'uomo era dio. L'uomo è il Suo germoglio. Dio prova semplicemente a prendere possesso dell’uomo. Prova a prendere l’uomo nella Sua mano. Ora, non è in tutta la teologia che si trova il genere di conduttore corretto. Sapete, c'è una grande parte della teologia che funge da isolatore riguardo a ciò. Ci sono molte chiese che dicono: “I giorni dei miracoli sono passati. La guarigione divina non esiste. Solo i demoni parlano in lingue”. Ebbene, ciò è un isolatore. Voi non volete nulla del genere. Allontanatevene. Tornate alla Parola. La Parola è il filo conduttore di Dio. Un uomo che crede nella Parola di Dio, che ha la Parola di Dio, è così grande come questi edifici qui intorno, quando cammina appoggiandosi su Essa. È la Parola che dirige. Conduce l'uomo, conduce lo spirito. Un uomo è fatto per avere una grande fede.

⁶⁷Qualche tempo fa, ho predicato qui, in questo tabernacolo, su: “Avere sete di Vita”. Cos’è che spinge una donna a ballare il “rock’n roll?” Cos’è che spinge un ragazzo, un adolescente a fare ciò? E non soltanto loro ma anche il nonno e la nonna. Perché lo fanno? Chi è che li spinge ad andare laggiù? Perché le persone vogliono agire in questo modo? È perché essi furono fatti per avere sete di qualcosa. Furono creati per essere assetati, ma assetati di Dio. Ed essi provano a fare tacere questa santa sete lasciando che il diavolo la sostituisca con ciò che loro chiamano piaceri. Mai e poi mai voi soddisferete questa sete, fintantoché Dio non viene a prendere il controllo. Voi potete ballare, potete bere, potete commettere adulterio, potete fare tutto ciò che volete ed un giorno vi sveglierete, con un mal di testa, all'inferno. Ma la ragione per la quale fate ciò, è perché siete stati fatti ad immagine di Dio per avere sete di Dio. Dio vuole entrare là. Dio vuole fare entrare la Sua Parola in voi ed utilizzarLa come Conduttore. “Dio l'ha detto”.

Come per Abrahamo, Dio disse: “Tu avrai un bambino”.

“Come sai che devi averlo?”

“Dio l'ha detto!”

“Hai cento anni, come puoi averlo?”

“Dio l'ha detto”.

⁶⁸Egli era unto. Amen! Era unto ed aveva la Parola e la Parola era unta in lui. Era il Conduttore per condurlo fino al bambino. Ogni uomo o donna, coloro che stasera prenderanno questa stessa Parola di Dio: “Per le sue lividure siamo stati guariti” e lasceranno che l'unzione, il Messia venga su loro, ebbene, questo Conduttore li condurrà direttamente alla loro guarigione, li condurrà alla salvezza. Oh! Mi piace questo! Ecco ciò che farà. Perché voi siete stati fatti per avere sete, siete stati fatti per Dio ed il diavolo prova a pervertirvi ed a farvi credere che qua fuori vi state divertendo. Egli vi acceca, come ha fatto per gli Ebrei, fino al momento in cui attraversate la linea di separazione. Allora, è la fine per voi. Ed è pressappoco là che oggi si trova questa nazione; e non solo questa ma anche le altre. Il mondo non lo crederà.

⁶⁹La Bibbia dice in II° Timoteo 3° che negli ultimi giorni gli uomini sarebbero stati irascibili, gonfi di orgoglio, amanti dei piaceri invece che amanti di Dio, sleali, calunniatori, intemperanti, nemici di coloro che sono... dei piccoli messia. Traditori, irascibili, gonfi di orgoglio, amanti dei piaceri invece che amanti di Dio, aventi l'apparenza della pietà... Non ricercate mai questo tipo elevato di evangelismo per fare qualcosa; questo non è il modo di agire di Dio. “Egli è venuto ai Suoi ed i Suoi non l'hanno ricevuto”. Vedete? Egli era piccolo. Ebbene, Egli è vissuto là, in Palestina, tutta la Sua vita, ed io direi che l'80% delle persone non seppero mai che era là. Ma Egli era inviato alla chiesa. Era mandato alle persone che doveva ricevere. Egli conosceva i Suoi e i Suoi Lo conoscevano. “Le Mie pecore conoscono la Mia voce”. Non lasciate che ciò vi passi di sopra, voi di Shreveport, ve ne prego. Custoditelo! “Le Mie pecore conoscono la Mia voce tramite la Mia Parola. La Mia Parola, se è insegnata, ma non dichiara le stesse cose che Io ho fatto, allora è un cattivo conduttore”.

⁷⁰ [Parte vuota sul nastro. –Ed.] ...Messianismo. Cosicché l'aquila deve averlo. Sappiamo ciò. Ed adesso possiamo dire che in un uomo, l'uomo... prima che lasci questo argomento, l'uomo, cos’è egli? Ha delle mani come Dio, degli occhi come Dio, delle orecchie come Dio, ha un corpo come Dio. Egli fu formato ad immagine di Dio. Ricevette la terra ed un impero. Fu fatto dio sulla terra per governarla, un dio inferiore. Dio governa l'universo, tutto ciò che c'è. Ma l'uomo ricevette la terra per governarla. Egli era un piccolo messia. Ecco cos’è egli, stasera, se ritorna a Dio. È un piccolo messia, un piccolo messia. Se “messia” significa “unto” e voi siete unti, cosa siete allora? Esattamente un piccolo messia. Lo chiamiamo così a motivo della Parola, finché, al riguardo, saremo arrivati un po’ più lontano nelle Scritture. Molto bene.

⁷¹Avete mai pensato a questo? Lasciate che vi chieda giusto qualcosa. Guardatemi un minuto. Questa è la mia mano. Questo è il mio dito. Questo è il mio orecchio. Questo è il mio naso. Ma chi sono io? Quello non sono io. È qualcosa che mi appartiene. Vedete? È la mia mano. Ma chi sono io che possiedo questa mano? Vedete? Vedete, questa è solamente una casa nella quale abito. Ebbene, ci deve essere là dentro qualcosa che sia io. Io devo essere da qualche parte, perché questo mi appartiene. Comprendete? Io sono qualcuno perché possiedo qualcosa. Ho una mano, essa è mia. Ebbene, chi sono io, a chi appartiene ciò? Quello è il vostro spirito. Ebbene, dipende da quale tipo di spirito si tratta. Siete servitori di colui al quale cedete le vostre membra.

⁷²Ed ora, se potete frantumare un bicchiere d'acqua, perché avete della telepatia, una concezione mentale ed un certo potere che potete manifestare essendo un essere umano, un potere mentale che è invisibile ed ignoto solamente attraverso questo ciclo, se potete fare infrangere un bicchiere d'acqua con questo genere di spirito che è uno spirito umano, pervertito e disapprovato, perché siete stati fatti ad immagine di Dio, cosa potete fare, allora, quando lasciate entrare in voi il Dio che vi ha formati per prendere il controllo su di voi? Amen! Voi potete far si che ogni promessa di Dio si avveri. Sì, signore. Ogni promessa che Dio ha fatto si adempirà.

⁷³Molto bene. Il dono di Dio è la Sua Parola. Dio ha promesso, ha fatto e ha mandato un dono; voi lo prendete, poi con la Sua Parola, ecco il vostro conduttore. Con un dono di Dio... se Dio vi ha dato il dono dello Spirito Santo, (lo credete voi?) ebbene, la Parola di Dio è il conduttore che permette di usare questo potere. Tutto ciò che lo Spirito Santo vi ha promesso, questo è ciò che potete fare. Vedete, è la cosa che libera la Parola. La Parola esce e lo Spirito Santo La segue. Dovunque la Parola è predicata... Voi vedete il vostro pastore predicarLa. Poi, improvvisamente: “Whoosh!”, lo Spirito Santo passa nella sala. Vedete? È vero. È il conduttore della Parola… o meglio, la Parola è il conduttore dello Spirito, perché là dove la Parola è predicata, lo Spirito La segue. Ovunque vada, lo Spirito segue la Parola. Oh! Mi piace ciò. Mi piace il sano insegnamento della Bibbia... lo Spirito Santo che viene a confermare l'insegnamento della Bibbia. Se lo Spirito Santo non lo conferma, vuol dire che avete incrociato i vostri fili. Avete una presa a terra da qualche parte. Sì, signore. Se potete collegare questa Parola alla dinamo, questa grande cosa che produce la pienezza della corrente, Egli infiammerà questo filo, è vero, e ciò farà delle cose per voi.

⁷⁴Quando Giovanni il Battista venne, egli era una parte della Parola. Era come un piccolo messia. Era ordinato da Dio tramite la Parola. Era un dono di Dio che venne nel mondo. Lo credete? Isaia 40 dice che egli era una voce che grida nel deserto. E quando venne e prese la sua posizione per gridare nel deserto, era perfettamente intrepido con ciò. Amen! Sì, signore. Adesso, fratelli, guardate come egli era grande. Quando Dio parlò della venuta di Giovanni, ebbene, Egli disse che tutti i monti sarebbero saltati come montoni, che gli alberi avrebbero battuto le mani, le montagne e le colline sarebbero state abbassate e le valli innalzate.

⁷⁵Adesso immagino che l'interpretazione teologica di ciò fosse: “Fratelli santi, un giorno Dio ritirerà i corridoi del cielo, farà scendere la scala di Giacobbe ed un potente profeta scenderà dall’aria, scortato dagli angeli. Egli scenderà, qui, dove si trova il Tempio santo e, se Caifa è il sommo sacerdote, gli dirà: vostro onore, sono sceso”. Oh! Cos’è accaduto? Quando egli venne, era un uomo dal viso irsuto che usciva dal deserto; aveva un pezzo di pelle di pecora intorno a sé e, probabilmente, faceva un bagno ogni tre mesi. Stava là, col fango fino alle ginocchia, e diceva: “Ravvedetevi perché il Regno dei cieli è vicino”. Fu allora che i monti saltarono come montoni e gli alberi batterono le mani. Fu in quel momento che le montagne e le colline furono abbassate e le valli innalzate. Ciò che l'uomo chiama grande, Dio lo chiama follia.

⁷⁶Mi chiedo se Dio non chiami follia una parte del nostro grande evangelismo di oggi. Quando si prova a coprire di fiori dei grandi personaggi dal colletto rigido e tutto il resto. Mi chiedo semplicemente ciò che Dio pensi al riguardo. Questo Vangelo non scuoterà il mondo. Non è tenuto a scuotere il mondo, ma a scuotere la chiesa. Esso scuote la chiesa. Attualmente, in questi ultimi anni, la chiesa è stata scossa come mai prima ed il mondo non ne sa niente. Esso non era tenuto a scuotere il mondo, loro sono morti comunque. Voi non potete scuotere quelle vecchie carcasse morte laggiù. Sono due volte morti e sradicati. Come potete farlo? “Oh, appartengo a tale e tale...” Ebbene, andate là ed appartenetegli. Vedete? Non potete scuoterli. “Ebbene, mia nonna ha fatto tale e tale cosa”. Poco importa ciò che vostra nonna ha fatto, che cosa fa Dio adesso? Questa è la luce, camminate in essa. La nonna è vissuta nel suo tempo. Ciò andava bene. Ma voi non potete vivere nella luce del suo tempo. In questo caso, sorella, perché non indossi i suoi vestiti? Forse questo è stato un po’ troppo duro, ma... No, voi volete prendere la sua chiesa ma non volete portare i suoi vestiti.

⁷⁷Tutti i veri profeti di Dio protestano contro il peccato. Tutti gli unti lo fanno. È vero, lo fanno. E Dio mantiene la Sua Parola a ciascuno. Egli lo fa sempre. Dio vi prenderà... questo vuol dire che voi riceverete ogni promessa se passate dalla stanza di compensazione Pentecostale. Sapete, se scrivete un assegno, non lo pagheranno finché non sia passato dalla stanza di compensazione. Deve passare dalla stanza di compensazione ed in seguito è pagato. E quando voi dite che vi siete ravveduti e che siete pronti a passare per la stanza di compensazione Pentecostale di Dio, allora Dio pagherà con ogni dono che ha promesso. Amen! Provate una volta Atti 2:38 e vedete se è la Sua stanza di compensazione! Sapete, Paolo incontrò delle persone, in Atti 19°, che non erano ancora passati dalla stanza di compensazione. Sì. Egli disse... Oh! Essi avevano una grande gioia, ma quando Paolo disse: “Avete ricevuto lo Spirito Santo dopo che avete creduto?”

Risposero: “Non sapevamo che esistesse”.

Paolo disse: “Come siete stati battezzati?”

Risposero: “Siamo stati battezzati correttamente”.

Paolo replico: “In che modo? In che cosa?"

Risposero: “Del battesimo di Giovanni”.

Paolo disse: “Ciò non va bene. Dovete passare dalla stanza di compensazione. Dio ha scelto la Sua banca per pagare le Sue promesse”.

⁷⁸Il giorno di Pentecoste, Pietro dichiarò: “Queste promesse sono per voi, per i vostri figli e per tutti coloro che sono lontani, per quanti il Signore Dio nostro ne chiamerà”. E quando essi eseguirono Atti 2:38, Dio onorò l'assegno, ciò passò dalla stanza di compensazione. Poi ritornò. Allora essi incominciarono a parlare in lingue, a profetizzare ed a magnificare Dio. E Dio... quando un credente firma il suo nome, in quanto credente, e passa dalla stanza di compensazione Pentecostale di Dio col battesimo dello Spirito Santo, Dio paga ogni promessa e tutto il resto. La Sua banca è buona. Le Sue promesse sono reali. Tutto ciò che è firmato nel nome di Gesù. Non potete firmare in un altro modo. Ciò non funzionerà. Egli non conosce i titoli, conosce solamente il “Nome”. Amen! Lo credete? Certamente. Sì, signore. Il Suo nome è l'unica cosa che Egli... Egli disse: “Chiedete tutto al Padre nel Mio nome...” Adesso, voi non metterete là sopra quattro o cinque nomi differenti, Egli non conosce niente di ciò. L'assegno torna indietro. Avrete un falso, un'imitazione. Ma ogni volta che passate dalla stanza di compensazione... Dio vi farà sapere se ciò è passato dalla stanza di compensazione o no. “Se dimorate in Me e le Mie parole dimorano in voi, chiedete ciò che volete (Giovanni 15°) e vi sarà dato”. È vero. Allora avete l'unzione. Allora siete dei messia o piuttosto dei piccoli messia; dei piccoli messia.

⁷⁹Lo stesso dono che era sopra di Lui... Egli ubbidì alla Parola e quando venne per adempiere la Parola, allora Dio... Lui era il Messia. Era Gesù quando venne al mondo ma quando lo Spirito Santo scese su di Lui, dopo il Suo battesimo, fu unto con Dio. Dio era in Lui, perché Egli veniva per compiere la Parola. Quando venite a questo altare, venite qui per compiere la Parola di Dio. Venite sull'invito che avete ricevuto: “Colui che vuole, venga”. Non venite dicendo: “Ebbene, Signore, se mi guarisci da questo mal di stomaco, credo che Ti servirò”. Non venite così. Venite e ditegli che siete un briccone, che non valete niente. Che desiderate essere riempito dello Spirito Santo e che non valete nulla. Non meritate niente. Meritate di morire e di andare all'inferno. Ma, poiché Egli vi ha invitati a venire, allora dite: “Signore, io vengo. Non porto niente nelle mie braccia, mi aggrappo semplicemente alla Tua croce”. Eccovi. Egli lo onorerà allora. C’è una vasca piena d’acqua al piano inferiore. Vedete se Egli non si prende cura della Sua Parola. Egli lo fa sempre, quando ciò passa dalla Sua stanza di compensazione. Ma ciò deve passare dalla stanza di compensazione.

⁸⁰Quando un uomo dice di credere in Gesù e l'accetta come Suo personale Salvatore, Dio gli dà un libretto di assegni per tutto ciò che vuole chiedere. E, in fondo all'assegno, vi basta firmare nel nome di Gesù. Non mettetene un altro, perché ciò non funzionerà. Vedete? Dovete passare dalla vera stanza di compensazione Pentecostale. Allora, quando firmate, il vostro assegno è riconosciuto e le promesse di Dio sono pagate sempre. Ciascuno dei Suoi piccoli messia riceve il controvalore in cambio.

⁸¹Viviamo negli ultimi giorni, nell'ultima epoca, l'epoca di Laodicea. È una delle epoche più oscure che vi sia mai stata dal tempo delle Epoche Oscure. Questa è, attualmente, un'epoca più ipocrita di quella di allora. Essi non avevano per niente Luce. Ma il crepuscolo è un’ora ingannevole. Ciascuno sa che in viaggio è meglio rallentare un po’ quando arriva il crepuscolo. È ciò esatto? Dobbiamo avere un messaggero in questo crepuscolo, lo sapevate? Dio l'ha promesso, nell'epoca di Laodicea.

⁸²L'altro giorno, in montagna, leggevo nelle Scritture... lo Spirito Santo mi disse di andare verso un certo albero e restare là, perché Egli voleva parlarmi. Ed io restai là una mezz'ora, senza che Egli mi dicesse nulla. Mi distesi sotto questa quercia e dissi: “Signore, mi hai parlato a circa un chilometro e mezzo da qui, dicendomi di salire sulla montagna, in questa valle del cacciatore, come io la chiamo, e che mi avresti parlato”. Allora Egli me lo mostrò quando aprì Malachia al capitolo 4°.

Ed io dissi... “Poiché ecco, il giorno viene, ardente come una fornace; e tutti gli empi saranno arsi…” (se desiderate annotarlo, è Malachia 4°).

Ed Egli disse: “Tutti gli empi saranno arsi ed i giusti calpesteranno gli empi, perché saranno come cenere sotto la pianta dei loro piedi”.

Poi disse: “Ecco, io vi mando il profeta Elia, prima che venga il giorno del Signore, giorno grande e terribile. Egli volgerà il cuore dei padri verso i figli, e il cuore dei figli verso i padri…”

⁸³Dissi allora: “Ciò è esatto. Io lo credo”.

⁸⁴Gesù disse, quando i discepoli gli posero una domanda su questo argomento... I discepoli gli dissero: “Perché dunque... (quando Egli affermava di essere il Messia) Perché dunque gli scribi dicono che prima deve venire Elia?” Gesù rispose: “Egli è già venuto e voi non l'avete riconosciuto”. Essi compresero allora che Egli parlava di Giovanni il Battista. Quanti tra voi hanno già sentito ciò? Oh! Leggete tutti la Bibbia. Giovanni il Battista. Ma ricordatevi che egli non era l'Elia degli ultimi giorni di cui Gesù ha parlato, perché il mondo non è bruciato ed il Millennio non è cominciato. Osservate la Scrittura. Siate attenti alla lettura di... prendete Malachia 4°, solo un momento. Guardate ciò. Non lo sapevo prima. Io non provo mai a parlare su qualcosa se prima lo Spirito Santo non sia venuto a rivelarmelo. Osservate Malachia 4:5: “Ecco, io vi mando il profeta Elia, prima che venga il giorno del Signore, giorno grande e terribile”. (Quel grande e terribile giorno in cui Egli brucerà la terra.) “Egli volgerà il cuore dei padri verso i figli, e il cuore dei figli verso i padri”.

⁸⁵Notate! La prima volta che Elia venne, egli volse il cuore dei padri, dei vecchi patriarchi, questi vecchi Ebrei, alla fede dei figli che Lo avevano appena ricevuto, credendo che Egli fosse il Messia che doveva venire. Volgere il cuore dei padri verso i figli e, (una congiunzione che collega le due frasi, quando egli viene la seconda volta) il cuore dei figli ai padri Pentecostali.

⁸⁶Alleluia! Eccovi. Così, come potrebbe la Luce della sera essere qualcosa di diverso da un ritorno al Libro degli Atti? Esatto! Egli disse che ciò sarebbe arrivato prima che la terra fosse stata bruciata come in una fornace e prima che i giusti avessero camminato sulle ceneri degli empi.

⁸⁷Oh! Fratello, aspettiamo la venuta di una Luce. È qui. E ricordate, quando questo Elia verrà... io ve lo descriverò un po’. Quando Elia verrà, sarà il messaggero dell'epoca della chiesa di Laodicea. Noi vediamo che Elia viene prima... Ricordatevi che Elia salì al cielo su un carro senza mai gustare la morte. Ed il Messaggio di questo grande messaggero che verrà in questo tempo della fine, nell'epoca della chiesa di Laodicea, l'epoca Pentecostale, sarà quello che porterà la chiesa nel Rapimento. Esattamente. Egli stesso fu rapito. Ed egli verrà con la chiesa nel Rapimento. E ricordatevene di nuovo… Vi do la descrizione di quest’uomo. Egli sarà un odiatore di donne. Certo. Guardate Elia ed Izebel. Guardate Giovanni ed Erodiada. Vedete? Inoltre, egli sarà fermamente contro le denominazioni. Guardate Elia, guardate Giovanni: «Non pensate di dire dentro di voi: "Abbiamo per padre Abrahamo"; perché io vi dico che da queste pietre Dio può far sorgere dei figli ad Abrahamo». Egli odierà le denominazioni e le donne immorali. Sarà un uomo del deserto, che vive nel deserto e che verrà col suo Messaggio. Ed egli volgerà il cuore delle persone... Oh! Ci sono stati un centinaio di Elia che sono apparsi in questi ultimi giorni: Alexander Dowie e oggigiorno molti altri nel mondo dicono di essere Elia, l'Elia di questo giorno. Ma Elia tornerà alla chiesa Pentecostale originale di Efeso e porterà questo stesso Messaggio alla gente con i segni del Messia. La Bibbia dice così: “Verrà un giorno che non sarà né giorno né notte, ma verso sera vi sarà luce”. È ciò esatto?

⁸⁸Notate adesso: il sole sorge ad oriente. Ora questo è... Voi dite: “Ciò è stato un giorno...” Siamo i figli del giorno del Vangelo. Ciò è stato un giorno di tenebre per i figli. La Stella del mattino annuncia semplicemente la venuta... giusto al contrario da ciò che questo è letteralmente, perché la Stella del mattino che si è alzata laggiù... C'è una Stella del mattino che saluta la venuta del Sole ed un'altra che saluta il tramonto del Sole. Il sole naturale si alzava quando questa Stella salutava la sua venuta e il Vangelo semplicemente cominciava. Noi siamo figli della Luce, ma il mondo è nelle tenebre adesso. La chiesa è passata dall'epoca più oscura, è passata dalle epoche oscure, ma la Stella della sera, la Stella della sera è quella che annuncia la Luce. La Stella della sera è quella che saluta la Luce per la chiesa. La chiesa ha vissuto essendo una minoranza, diminuendo fino ad essere un piccolo gruppo. Ma, finalmente, il giorno verrà dove questa tromba di Dio suonerà ed un giorno eterno sorgerà. L'alba sta per arrivare e questo glorioso Spirito di Dio che verrà su qualcuno, in questi ultimi giorni, che proclamerà questo Messaggio, volgerà il cuore dei figli ai padri Pentecostali.

⁸⁹Come è stato scritto il Libro degli Atti? Cominciate a leggerlo. Guardate come l'abbiamo contaminato con ogni genere di cose assurde che vengono da noi. Ma un giorno, qualcuno verrà, una Luce, prima della fine, questa porta aperta che è posta davanti alla chiesa. Osservate e vedete se ciò non arriverà uno di questi giorni. Dio manderà Elia, proprio così certo come io, adesso, sto su questo pulpito. Egli lo manderà. E questo Elia scuoterà le persone per riportarle direttamente alla dottrina Pentecostale originale. Cominciate a Pentecoste, adesso, e vedete come ciò era. Guardate ciò che fecero. Vedete se si tratterà di stringersi la mano e... Sarà un ritorno al principio.

⁹⁰Quando Pietro predicò laggiù, il giorno di Pentecoste, e furono tutti riempiti dello Spirito Santo e parlarono in altre lingue, questi uomini dissero: “Adesso che possiamo fare per riceverLo?” Pietro rispose: “Ravvedetevi e ciascuno di voi sia battezzato nel nome di Gesù Cristo per il perdono dei peccati, e voi riceverete il dono dello Spirito Santo. Poiché la promessa è per voi e per i vostri figli e per tutti coloro che sono lontani, per quanti il Signore Dio nostro ne chiamerà”. Quella era la Luce Pentecostale originale.

⁹¹Ora, quella è la Stella del mattino. E la Stella della sera deve riflettere, di nuovo, la stessa Luce. Sarà una voce che grida nel deserto per annunciare la venuta del Messia. Egli mostrerà anche i segni del Messia che deve venire. Sarà un profeta di Dio, un grande uomo. Quando egli verrà, osservate ciò che farà. La Bibbia dice che farà questo.

⁹²Allo stesso modo, prima della venuta di questo giorno, deve venire un tempo nella chiesa per adempiere ciò che Gesù ha detto: “Come avvenne ai giorni di Sodoma, così avverrà anche alla venuta del Figlio dell'uomo”. Il mondo è in una condizione sodomita. Lo sappiamo tutti. Chiesa, è ciò esatto? Il mondo è in una condizione sodomita. Adesso, osservate. Quale genere di messaggio ha ricevuto Sodoma? Ebbero un moderno Billy Graham che andò laggiù e predicò agli intellettuali.

⁹³Solo alcuni uscirono. Essi erano nel disonore e recarono disonore. La moglie si è trasformata in una statua di sale per aver guardato indietro.

⁹⁴Notate ciò adesso. Un Angelo si tenne in disparte con Abrahamo. L'angelo che restò con Abrahamo, (non sapendo, apparentemente, chi egli fosse), dopo gli disse: “Abrahamo, dov'è tua moglie Sara?” Lui rispose: “È nella tenda dietro di Te”. La Bibbia dice che lei era nella tenda, dietro l'Angelo.

⁹⁵Egli disse: “Verrò a visitarti secondo il tempo della vita. Ti ho promesso questo bambino ed Io farò in modo che tu lo riceva”. E Sara rise dentro di sé. In quel momento, l'Angelo del Signore disse: “Perché Sara ha riso?” Ora, Egli ha detto che ciò avrebbe avuto luogo prima della venuta del Signore. “Come avvenne ai giorni di Sodoma, così sarà alla venuta del Signore”. Comprendete, amici? Ciò riflette la stessa Luce della Stella mattutina. E cosa farà egli? Riporterà i figli alla fede dei padri; dei padri Pentecostali: Paolo, Sila, Giovanni, Marco, Ireneo, Martino, Columba, tutti questi grandi martiri che hanno predicato questo Vangelo e vi sono rimasti attaccati. Furono completamente fedeli a ciò. E, quando il gruppo degli eruditi incominciò a volere un'organizzazione, loro furono espulsi.

⁹⁶Notate che nella Bibbia, si parla delle opere dei Nicolaiti; poi, ciò che erano delle opere in un'epoca della chiesa diventò una dottrina... Sapete cosa significa “Nico”? Ho fatto delle ricerche. “Nico” significa conquistare, vincere. Vincere chi? I laici. Quando tutta la santità è attribuita ad un uomo, ad un solo uomo, che diventa l’unico ad essere santo. Ed egli è il solo... la chiesa può vivere in qualsiasi modo e poi loro vanno da lui a confessarsi. Lo Spirito Santo è per chiunque lo desideri, che sia laico o no. Non è la volontà di Dio che ci sia solo un uomo santo. È lo Spirito Santo tra le persone che sono nate di nuovo, mostrando dei segni e dei prodigi. Questa stessa chiesa, questa Stella della sera rifletterà la stessa Luce come la Stella del mattino.

⁹⁷Ma, notate: quando ciò arriverà, Egli disse che non sarà né notte, né giorno. Voi potrete appena distinguerlo; sarà un giorno scuro come l’abbiamo nella nostra regione quando piove. Ma verso sera vi sarà Luce. La Luce della sera verrà. Ebbene, la luce della sera, il sole, la sera, è lo stesso sole che si alza la mattina. La luce della sera riflette la stessa luce che il sole riflette la mattina. È semplicemente il tramonto e il sorgere del sole. Lo comprendete? Adesso siamo nel tempo della sera. Oh! Grazie siano rese a Dio per la Luce della sera che riflette la Sua promessa e l’adempie.

⁹⁸Adesso il mondo è in una condizione sodomita. Oh, i Suoi aquilotti… ho predicato una volta su questo. La Luce del mattino, la Stella del mattino, lo stesso messaggio. È da molto tempo che è sera. È un tempo scuro. Un momento molto pericoloso. Ricordatevi che il crepuscolo è il momento più pericoloso per viaggiare, dovete fare attenzione. E questo è oggi il giorno più pericoloso della vostra vita. La Bibbia dice in Matteo 24 che negli ultimi giorni ciò avrebbe sedotto persino gli eletti, se fosse stato possibile. Ho sentito ultimamente Billy Graham che diceva in un messaggio: “Gli eletti sono già sedotti”. No! No! Gli eletti non saranno sedotti. No! No! Non lo saranno. No. I membri di chiesa lo saranno, ma non gli eletti. Essi sono stati eletti fin dalla fondazione del mondo, non possono essere sedotti, è impossibile, dice Ebrei 6. Essi non saranno sedotti ma questo tempo della sera è un periodo pericoloso per la chiesa, perché, guardate, andranno in chiesa e saranno quasi esattamente come i credenti Pentecostali.

⁹⁹Grideranno, danzeranno, parleranno in lingue e tutto il resto. Tanto vicini da sedurre gli stessi eletti, se fosse possibile. Ma, ricordatevi, il solo modo che vi permette di sapere che siete nel vero è di seguire il Conduttore, la Parola. Porta l'assoluta Verità, vedete. Restate col Conduttore. Ne siate semplicemente riempiti. Sì, signore.

¹⁰⁰Adesso, vediamo che questa chiesa di Laodicea, l'epoca della chiesa nella quale siamo adesso, (se volete leggerlo, si trova in Apocalisse al capitolo 3°), possiamo vedere tutto ciò che è accaduto, quando questo Messaggio è tenuto ad andare avanti. La chiesa è stata talmente mondana e si è organizzata a tal punto che ne ha cacciato il suo Dio.

¹⁰¹Il passo più patetico della Scrittura che io abbia mai visto è in Apocalisse capitolo 3°, quando nell'epoca della chiesa di Laodicea, Gesù si trova all'esterno della Sua propria Chiesa, bussando, per provare ad entrare di nuovo. All'epoca della prima chiesa Egli camminava in mezzo ai sette candelabri d'oro, le epoche della chiesa, ma in quella di Laodicea Egli era all'esterno provando ad entrare di nuovo nella Sua propria Chiesa.

¹⁰²Ciò mostra quello che questa epoca Gli ha fatto. Si sono organizzati al punto da farLo uscire. Organizzandosi, hanno messo fuori la Sua dottrina e la Sua Bibbia, sostituendo ciò con un libro di credo, di filosofie, ecc., che leggono ed accettano. Hanno delle confessioni fredde al posto di lasciare entrare Dio e fare di essi dei piccoli messia, di dar loro il battesimo dello Spirito Santo e mostrare segni e prodigi. Organizzandosi, hanno messo tutto ciò fuori. Hanno messo Lui da parte. Adesso, Egli è all'esterno chiamando, per l'ultima volta, per provare ad entrare di nuovo. “Ecco, io sto alla porta e busso”. In questa epoca della chiesa di Laodicea, Egli prova ad entrare di nuovo nella Sua propria Chiesa da dove è stato espulso. Non è pietoso questo? È la cosa più patetica alla quale io possa pensare, di vedere il Signore nella Sua propria Chiesa, dopo aver dato la Sua vita per essa, agito nel modo in cui ha fatto… ha mandato la Luce alla chiesa e le ha detto ciò che Egli ha fatto, per essere poi rigettato da essi e spinto all'esterno. Loro accettano qualche specie di credo o qualcosa di questo genere che la chiesa ha fabbricato. Ed eccoLo, in piedi, all'esterno, provando ad entrare.

¹⁰³Ora, per concludere, lasciatemi dire questo, perché si sta facendo tardi. Ho ancora una ventina di riferimenti biblici annotati qui, ma non li prenderemo. Lasciatemi dire questo: avevate notato che si trova all'esterno della chiesa… State ascoltando? Dite: “Amen”. All'esterno della chiesa, provando ad entrare… Ricordatevi che quelli che si trovavano dentro le denominazioni non Lo hanno mai visto. Sono quelli all'esterno che Lo hanno visto. Essi hanno sentito bussare ma non Lo hanno visto. Oggi è allo stesso modo. Un uomo che non può vederlo continuerà ad andare di qua e di là dicendo: “Ebbene, non ho mai visto niente di ciò; sono andato laggiù e non ho visto nulla”. Vedete, questi non può vederLo. È talmente organizzato da non poter vedere nulla. Ma se una volta potete liberarvi quel tanto da uscire per vedere Chi sta bussando alla porta e che fa queste cose... Capite ciò che voglio dire? Andate all'esterno. All'esterno. Non siate così organizzati, perché quando lo fate, non potete vedere niente. L'unica cosa che vedete è la vostra denominazione. Ma se potete andare all'esterno, vedrete Gesù in tutta la Sua gloria e la Sua misericordia, che prova ad entrare nel Suo popolo. Oh, io Lo vedo tenersi là.

¹⁰⁴Parlavo del Messia, dei piccoli messia. Loro sono, oggi, la luce della chiesa, la luce del mondo. Gesù disse ai discepoli: “Voi siete la luce del mondo”. Siete una luce posta su una collina, una luce che può essere vista dappertutto. Noi siamo la Luce. Se lo siamo, riflettiamo la Sua Luce di Messia. Il segno del Messia accompagna i piccoli messia, allo stesso modo come accompagnava il Messia.

¹⁰⁵Qualche tempo fa, qui, nella vostra graziosa chiesa, credo che abbia predicato sul tema: “Come l'aquila che desta la sua nidiata e svolazza sopra i suoi piccini”. Credo che abbia predicato su ciò, qui, fratello Jack, o da qualche altra parte. Sì, “Come l'aquila che desta la sua nidiata”. Amo osservare le grandi aquile. Sapete, quel padre aquila... Dio ha chiamato Sé stesso Aquila. Lo sapevate? Egli ha chiamato i Suoi profeti aquile. Certo. Egli disse che quest’aquila… Egli trovò Giacobbe in una terra deserta, in una solitudine piena d'urli e di desolazione. Come l'aquila che desta la sua nidiata... Adesso, noi vediamo che Egli chiama anche Sé stesso Aquila, così Egli è Jehovah Aquila ed ha un mucchio di aquilotti. Degli aquilotti come dei piccoli messia, degli aquilotti.

¹⁰⁶Adesso, posso vedere l'imponente Padre Aquila mentre cammina intorno al nido. Egli ama guardare i Suoi figli. Oh, come ama guardarli. Come appaiono essi? Esattamente come Lui. Non sono ibridi. Essi non sono per metà poiana e metà cornacchia, sono delle aquile. Amen! È ciò che siamo oggi. Siamo Metodisti, Battisti, delle Assemblee, questo e quello, delle poiane, delle cornacchie ed ogni altra cosa. Come possiamo essere degli aquilotti? Come possiamo, quando vediamo il segno di Dio manifestato tra noi, chiamare ciò qualcos'altro? Alleluia! Egli ama guardarli perché sa che sono di razza pura. Essi hanno la Sua carne, il Suo sangue e il Suo Spirito. Amen! Con quale fierezza Egli guarda i Suoi aquilotti che vanno a spasso. Amen! I piccoli aquilotti Lo guardano dicendo: “Che sei grande. Che sei grande”. “Guardami. Oh!” “Uno di questi giorni prenderemo il volo, non è così Papà?” Vedete? Oh! Come Egli ama guardarli. Gli somigliano, essi agiscono come Lui, sono la Sua carne, il Suo sangue, il Suo Spirito. Amen! È in quella maniera la Chiesa di Dio, i Suoi aquilotti, i Suoi piccoli messia. Gli somigliano, agiscono come Lui, predicano come Lui, fanno le stesse opere che faceva Lui. “Le cose che faccio Io le farete pure voi; e ne farete di maggiori, perché Io me ne vado al Padre”. Amen! “Questi segni accompagneranno i Miei aquilotti”. Amen! “Essi agiranno esattamente come Me. Se il Mio Spirito è in loro, allora faranno le opere che faccio Io. Se non fanno le opere che faccio Io, è perché il Mio Spirito non è in loro”.

¹⁰⁷Che accadrebbe se Egli, guardando una delle Sue piccole aquile, scoprisse che ha un becco come una poiana? Egli direbbe: “Aspettate un minuto, c'è qualcosa che non va”. Se una vecchia cornacchia saltasse sul nido e cominciasse a dire: “Caw, caw, caw i giorni dei miracoli sono passati. Caw, caw, caw, la guarigione divina non esiste”. Ah, vi assicuro che Egli lo prenderebbe con i Suoi grossi artigli e lo sloggerebbe immediatamente da là. E questi andrebbe a spezzarsi il collo così certo come esiste il mondo. Vedete? Sì.

¹⁰⁸“Oh! Ciò non esiste, è della telepatia, tali cose non esistono oggi”.

¹⁰⁹Tu, specie di poiana che ti nutri di carne morta. Dio vuole degli aquilotti, vuole dei piccoli messia, vuole degli uomini e delle donne che abbiano dei segni e dei prodigi, degli unti. Egli vuole una chiesa che sia riempita dello Spirito Santo, una chiesa che Lo rifletta come essendo lo stesso ieri, oggi ed in eterno. Dio non è morto, Egli ha formato un Regno ed ha i Suoi piccoli messia in esso. Amen! Ad ogni Parola che Egli pronuncia essi dicono “amen”. È vero. Sì, signore. Essi Gli somigliano, agiscono come Lui, credono ciò. Tra loro il Conduttore continua a manifestarsi accompagnato da segni e prodigi. Quello è il Messia. Il Messia è vivente questa sera. Egli non è morto, ma è vivente nei secoli dei secoli. Lo credete? Che cosa ha detto Egli che sarebbe accaduto?

Ci sarà luce al tempo della sera,

Il sentiero della gloria certamente troveremo; (è questo vero?)

In quella via dell’acqua, si trova la luce oggi,

Sepolti nel prezioso nome di Gesù.

Giovani e vecchi, pentitevi di tutti i vostri peccati,

Lo Spirito Santo certamente entrerà;

È un fatto che Dio e Cristo sono uno.

¹¹⁰L'uomo fu fatto per essere un dio. Dio si è fatto uomo. Oh, il Messia! Il grande Jehovah abitò in un corpo umano e fece questo corpo come il Suo affinché potesse avere un corpo umano ed essere così un piccolo messia per governare la Sua terra ed averne il controllo. Amen. “Le opere che faccio Io, le faranno pure loro”. Oh! Mi piace questo. Jehovah cammina avanti e indietro sul Suo Trono dicendo: “Loro sono i Miei aquilotti. Sono carne della Mia carne ed ossa delle Mie ossa. Sono nati dal Mio Spirito e lavati nel Mio sangue”. Amen! “Sono Miei, Mi appartengono. Tutto ciò che dico loro, essi lo credono. Perché? Loro sono delle aquile. Ecco cosa sono; sono delle aquile come Io sono un’Aquila. Loro sono dei piccoli déi mentre Io sono il grande Dio. È vero. Io sono Jehovah Padre. Loro sono i Miei figli”. Eccovi. Egli ha promesso, dunque, che queste cose sarebbero accadute. Adesso, se noi siamo dei figli del Suo Regno, questi segni dovrebbero farsi conoscere tra noi. È ciò esatto? Ora, noi possiamo parlare, discuterne e restare tutta la notte su questo. Tuttavia, ciò funzionerà? Ecco la cosa successiva. Se ciò funziona, allora è vero. La Parola di Dio ha promesso in Giovanni 14:12: “Chi crede in me farà anch'egli le opere che faccio io”. È ciò esatto? Io lo credo, voi no? Molto bene, chiniamo adesso i nostri capi per un istante.

¹¹¹Dio Padre, l'ora è arrivata. Ci rendiamo conto che non c'è modo per noi di trovare qualcosa, né posto dove andare, ora, che non sia Gesù. Siamo al tempo della fine. Vediamo arrivare tutte queste cose. Vediamo la nostra nazione in fallimento. Vediamo il nostro mondo in fallimento. Vediamo il Comunismo spargere uno spirito empio chiamato “la cortina di ferro”. Ne vediamo una che appare laggiù, in Cina, chiamata “la cortina di bambù”. Poi ne vediamo apparire un’altra, chiamata “la cortina di porpora”, la cortina romana, che sta per prendere il controllo del mondo.

¹¹²Adesso, Dio Padre, Ti preghiamo di permetterci di ricordare questo: che queste cose sono le Tue promesse. Tu ci hai promesso queste cose al tempo della sera. Siamo così contenti di vederTi adempiere la Tua Parola nella nostra vita. Ti preghiamo, Padre, di suscitare una fame ed una sete.

¹¹³Adesso, Ti prego di prendere queste poche parole che sono state esposte e di rivelarle al cuore delle persone affinché comprendano che Dio è una potenza. Egli è una potenza; Cristo era la pienezza di Dio, era Jehovah unto. Egli era il corpo unto di Jehovah. Gesù di Nazareth, Dio era in Cristo, riconciliando il mondo a Sé stesso, ed Egli è morto per santificare questa razza umana decaduta e riportare gli uomini nella loro posizione di figli di Dio per essere unti, unti dallo Spirito Santo, per andare a riflettere il Suo Regno finché Egli sia completamente ritornato attraverso le sette epoche della chiesa.

¹¹⁴Or dunque, negli ultimi giorni Lo troviamo all'esterno della Sua propria chiesa, provando ad entrare. Tuttavia, Egli ha promesso che avrebbe mandato una Luce, in questo tempo, e noi l'abbiamo trovata, Signore. L'abbiamo trovata e vediamo che è un Conduttore corretto, perché quando abbiamo collegato la Parola che noi crediamo con il Dio del cielo che l'ha promessa, la corrente che ha compiuto i primi segni è ritornata e compie gli stessi segni messianici. Allora, Padre, noi sappiamo che la Parola che chiamiamo il Conduttore è giusta, perché essa produce ogni promessa. Te ne ringraziamo, Padre. Ti preghiamo di salvare i perduti, di guarire i malati, di riempire dello Spirito Santo quelli che lo desiderano e di incoraggiare la Tua Chiesa. Mentre continuiamo ad aspettare Te, Signore, nel servizio di guarigione, Ti affidiamo queste persone e tutto il resto, nel nome di Gesù. Amen.

¹¹⁵Cos’è ora questo? Osservo l'orologio e non voglio trattenervi troppo tempo. Dobbiamo partire anche presto domani mattina.

¹¹⁶Che cosa ha Egli promesso? Ha promesso che verso sera ci sarà Luce. Potete comprendere ciò che dico, quando parlo dei piccoli messia? Alzate la mano se lo comprendete. Se messia significa unto ed Egli era il Messia perché era unto della pienezza di Dio, allora anche noi siamo unti con lo stesso Spirito. Adesso, voi direte: “Come fate a sapere che siete unti con lo stesso Spirito?” Ebbene, avete la stessa vita e fate le stesse cose che Egli ha fatto. “Chi crede in me farà anch'egli le opere che faccio Io”. Cosa disse Lui in San Giovanni 5:19? “In verità, in verità vi dico che il Figlio non può da sé stesso far cosa alcuna, se non la vede fare dal Padre; perché le cose che il Padre fa, anche il Figlio le fa ugualmente”. Ogni vero piccolo messia avrà lo stesso messaggio. È ciò esatto?

¹¹⁷E ricordatevi: chi ha ricevuto per primo il battesimo? Il battesimo dello Spirito Santo? Gli Ebrei. Chi poi? I Samaritani. Gli ultimi furono i Gentili. È ciò esatto? Perché essi sono entrati dopo la morte, la sepoltura e la risurrezione. Ora hanno ricevuto il messaggio. Notate adesso, i discendenti di Cam, Sem e Jafet. Ora, i discendenti di Cam, di Sem e di Jafet dovevano vedere... Sono le tribù della terra. Le tre tribù della terra. Ora, vediamo che gli Ebrei ricevettero il segno del Messia tramite Gesù. I Samaritani lo ricevettero tramite Gesù. Ma, adesso, negli ultimi giorni... Ora, i Gentili non lo ricevettero perché non aspettavano il Messia. Noi eravamo dei pagani in quel tempo, il nostro popolo, gli Anglosassoni. Eravamo dei pagani ed adoravamo degli idoli. I Moabiti, gli Amorrei, e gli altri, erano il nostro popolo. Ma, adesso, sono duemila anni che aspettiamo il Messia.

¹¹⁸Ora, come si è fatto conoscere Egli in quel tempo? Mandando Gesù ed ungendolo del Suo Spirito. E Gesù disse: “Se non faccio le opere del Padre Mio, non Mi credete allora”. È ciò esatto? “Se faccio le opere, allora credete alle opere”. Ora, perché? Egli non si è legato alle loro organizzazioni ed alle loro denominazioni. È rimasto fuori da esse, da tutte, e le ha rimproverate aspramente. Dicono che Egli abbia fatto a pezzi le chiese e tutto il resto. Ora, potreste aspettarvi che il Suo Spirito faccia qualcos’altro quando Egli ritornerà? Egli farà la stessa cosa. Perché non può cambiare. È Dio. Noi possiamo cambiare, la nostra natura umana può cambiare, ma Dio non può cambiare. Egli deve rimanere lo stesso. È infinito. Noi siamo limitati. Così, Egli non può cambiare.

¹¹⁹Dunque, quando Egli verrà nella Sua Chiesa, negli ultimi giorni, che cosa sarà questo? Un gruppo di persone che sono state tirate fuori e che sono unte con lo Spirito di Dio. Essi saranno dei piccoli messia. Vedete? Saranno degli unti. E se il Suo Spirito è in loro, faranno le cose che Egli ha fatto. Esattamente. Non è ciò esatto?

¹²⁰Allora, se diciamo... Se possiamo prendere ciò e collegare la Parola alla Dinamo e la corrente arriva dicendo che è giusto, avete allora uno contatto. Se lo collegate e non accade nulla, allora avete da qualche parte un isolatore. Avete da qualche parte un filo spezzato. Vedete? Tuttavia, mettetelo contro la Dinamo e se la corrente passa, allora avete un conduttore diretto. Avete un conduttore. Se volete crederlo così, vi dirò in che modo l'ho ricevuto. Io sono venuto semplicemente nel modo in cui lo dice la Bibbia. Non ho mai cambiato per nessuna denominazione.

¹²¹La mia propria chiesa Battista mi ha messo fuori perché non volevo ordinare una donna predicatrice. Non è scritturale, non è giusto. Io ho detto loro: “Fareste meglio a mettermi fuori adesso, perché presto o tardi, dovrete farlo; così me ne vado prima che lo facciate voi”.

¹²²Bene. Poi, a proposito di molte di queste cose oggi, io... Quando ero solamente un ragazzo, prima che sentissi parlare degli Unitari, dei Binitari, di tre déi, di quattro déi, qualunque cosa essi abbiano, credevo che ci fosse un solo Dio e che il Suo nome fosse Gesù. Ed io fui battezzato nel nome di Gesù Cristo da un predicatore missionario della chiesa Battista, perché glielo chiesi. Io l'ho predicato da quel momento. Non c'è un passo nella Bibbia... Portatemi un passo dove qualcuno sia stato una volta battezzato usando i titoli di Padre, Figlio e Spirito Santo. Oppure leggete la storia e ditemi se qualcuno sia mai stato battezzato nel nome del Padre, del Figlio e dello Spirito Santo, prima che la chiesa Cattolica si organizzasse, ed io lascerò il pulpito. È un credo Cattolico, ed ogni uomo o donna battezzato in quel modo, non è battezzato nella Chiesa del Dio vivente. Loro sono battezzati nella chiesa Cattolica, quello è il loro credo.

¹²³Mostratemi nelle Scritture, mostratemi nella storia dove qualcuno l'abbia fatto, all'infuori della chiesa Cattolica. Lutero l'ha portato con sé e Wesley dopo di lui, per arrivare a questo, adesso. A ciascuna di quelle chiese là, Egli disse: “Non hai rinnegato il mio nome”. Ma quando arriva a questa epoca della chiesa di Tiatira, Egli dice: “Tu hai un nome. Hai un nome da vivere ma sei morto”. Ecco tutto. Io non intendo dire che il battesimo in acqua nel nome di Gesù vi salva, ma è il battesimo Cristiano corretto. Voi siete salvati per fede, è vero, tramite Cristo. Esatto. Ma è il battesimo corretto. È così che dovreste essere battezzati. Esattamente. Dovete essere così per mantenere l'ordine della Bibbia. Dovete essere battezzati in quella maniera. Poi, quando avrete ricevuto lo Spirito Santo e la potenza di Dio sarà venuta su di voi, farete esattamente le stesse cose che fece Gesù, perché è il Suo Spirito in voi.

¹²⁴Se non è così, allora c'è qualcosa che non va. È vero. Oh, gloria! Mi sento come se dovessi quasi parlare in lingue, io stesso, adesso. Sapete, la prima volta che ho parlato in lingue, stavo predicando nella chiesa Battista. Ero sulla piattaforma, predicando così forte come potevo. Ed io mi misi a saltare fino in mezzo al corridoio, pronunciando pure alcune parole in una lingua sconosciuta, non sapendo ciò che dicessi. Io guardavo intorno a me, e tutta l'assemblea allungava il collo per vedere ciò che accadeva. E qualcosa mi disse: “Io sono una roccia in un paese arido ed un rifugio durante la tempesta”. Ed era la prima volta che parlavo in lingue. Oh, seppi allora che da qualche parte c’era qualcosa di reale su questo argomento, che non conoscevo, ma continuai a cercare finché non lo trovai. Ho continuato ad avanzare. Ho venduto tutto per acquistare questa Perla di gran prezzo. Oh! Non me ne importa, se la Bibbia lo dice, io lo credo. Non presto attenzione a quante organizzazioni o quante persone dicono questo o quello, è la Parola di Dio ed è la Verità e resterò con Essa, questo è tutto. Ed il solo modo che vi permetterà di fare ciò, è di restare parola per parola con la Bibbia.

¹²⁵Ho predicato l'altra sera, su queste quattro creature viventi, per provare di... questo è ciò che erano; non erano degli animali, perché la parola in Apocalisse, al capitolo 4, che designa questi esseri viventi è “zoon”, z-o-o-n, e significa “essere vivente”. In Apocalisse 11 ed Apocalisse 17°, c’è una parola completamente differente che significa: bestia selvaggia; ma quelli erano delle creature viventi. Ciò che erano, erano dei cherubini come quelli che stavano alla porta, custodendo il luogo santo. Li vediamo in Ezechiele, al capitolo 1, quando la Luce ambra di Dio, l'arcobaleno e la Gloria di Dio si trovavano là. Abbiamo una foto di ciò. Abbiamo nella foto la stessa cosa che loro hanno visto laggiù. Ed era giusto là, nella sala e la luce fotografata è esattamente simile a quella che vide Ezechiele. Ezechiele 1:26 fino a 28. Possiamo mostrarvi la fotografia della Gloria di Dio, proprio come egli la vide.

¹²⁶Adesso, vedete, l'occhio della macchina fotografica può vedere delle cose che, talvolta, l'occhio umano non vede. È vero. Essi l'hanno vista mentre gli uomini non la vedono. Ma diventiamo così incrostati, i nostri luxmetri. E-1 May be seated. It does seem like coming home to come back. We... Hearing back there from your pastor the wonderful things that the Lord has been doing here at the home church since I was here... Said you've almost had a constant revival of the outpouring of the Holy Ghost. Oh, isn't it wonderful to hit God's time, just right time? Just does something to us.
Well, we've had one at the Tabernacle. I had a series of subjects, I was telling you, on the seven last church ages, and oh, my. When I finished up last Sunday with the 4th chapter of Revelations... My congregation was about--about four hundred people, or three hundred and fifty, something like that, and I...

E-2 While I was speaking, and had called the prayer line, and speaking on the reflection from the Shekinah glory to the stars, to the--stars, to the sea of glass, where the sacrifices was washed, you know, which represents sinners, the waters of separation...
And while I was speaking on that, and turned then to pray for the sick, the Angel of the Lord came right down before them all, went right over and stood in the corner there. And three hundred or more people stood and looked at It for fifteen minutes, screaming, crying, and praising God. All of them looked. The first time It ever come like that before our church: just come right in, and moved right over there and stood there.
I said, "Can you see it?" Everybody begin screaming and falling. And there it was--the big amber Light of the Pillar of Fire, just as perfectly round, standing there. Then It begin to shade Itself, and shaded every one of those church ages just exactly the way I taught them, in that Pillar of Fire. God knows that's the truth here before His Bible. That... He... We're living in the end time, surely.

E-3 Oh, I'm so glad that the prophet promised it would be light in the evening. In this hour that when it's so dark in the world, and to know that we are living and walking in the Light, the Light that He promised that He would do it... Promised He would, and here we are, the privileged people tonight, to enjoy those things at the end time.
Now, remember, the church will not be... It will not be a great, great, big something. It's always, through every age, just in the minority, just a little... And during the Dark Age it almost went completely out. And then it goes almost out again in this age here, at the Laodicean Church Age.
Brother Jack invited me down to preach those seven church ages sometime. I hope I get a chance to do it. Oh, we sure enjoyed it at home. How the Holy Spirit blessed us.

E-4 And now we're going over to Beaumont from here, and on into the west coast; and come back and going into Ohio, then down through Virginia, and North Carolina; coming back from there, going to Bloomington, Springfield, Chicago; then leaving there, and going to northern British Columbia, Fort St. John, and Grande Prairie, Dawson Creek, and through there. And hope to get back by June, the Lord willing, to... After six months then, to get back in time for the overseas, perhaps, the Lord willing, at that time.

E-5 Now, we're happy to be here tonight and see so many out, and shining faces, and hearts open, and... Just a wonderful time, isn't it? We are under expectations tonight; I am, that the Lord will make known to us tonight His power and glory, will show Himself to us. And whether He does or does not, then we will believe Him just the same.

E-6 I just left a little woman coming in from Germany. A few weeks ago she lost a baby. And she was standing near in California, once, where they brought in a little baby had been dead, died one morning about three or four o'clock. Parents had drove all day, and it was about three, four, five o'clock, yes, about six o'clock in the afternoon, the mother setting in the back of the car, holding this little cold form in her arms. And when they come to the place where I was at, San Bernardino, they took the little baby, brought it to where I was standing. And I said, "Oh, how long has the baby been dead?"
She said, "Since this morning, early."
And I picked up the little cold form. It was already stiffened. And these people standing around... I held it in my arms, started praying to our precious Lord. I felt the baby was getting warm. Just kept holding it, just a few minutes, and it started kicking, crying. I handed it over to its mother. So then when...

E-7 Now, see, we don't make those things known. See? The thing of it is, there's too much--too much glamor today in our... We're--we're trying to have a big something to advertise something. No, it's not for that. The world will never receive it anyhow. He comes to the church. It's for the church, the--the people of God. These great glamorous things don't work in the Kingdom of God. People's going to be surprised when they find out who is the believers and who is not. Be like it was when John came. The first coming of Jesus there was Anna at the temple, and John the Baptist, and--and just a few that really was believers, really received it. Now, we're looking for His coming.

E-8 This little mother standing there, she'd... Her baby died over in Germany. Her husband's a chaplain. And they called up long distance about five times through a day and night to ask me to come, said they knowed that God would raise that little baby up. I said, "Let me go, pray," and I went and prayed, prayed that afternoon, that night.
And I'll show you whether the doctors believe or not. When she'd already give the doctor my book to read, on... I believe, called, "Prophet Visits Africa," something like that. And when... She said, "God will raise the baby up." The little mother said, "God will raise the baby up." And the baby had been dead before they knowed it, about four or five hours. And so they got the father word down to the base where he was. And the baby had been dead, died in the night.
And so the doctor said, "All right. Tell you what I'll do." Said, "I'll slip over and turn the oxygen back on." And he let that baby lay there for two days with the oxygen turned on it, waiting. And I was over here praying. They was going to fly me across with a jet. I could leave here with an Army jet and be back the same day, to Germany.

E-9 And one morning about daylight I got up, and the wife went out of the room, and... She went out of the room. I'd just wakened up, and I, laying there a little bit. Directly I heard Something coming into the room, and I looked. There was Something moving in the room. And I jumped up, and I said, "Lord, what would You have Your servant know."
Said, "Do not rebuke that. That's the hand of the Lord." See?
So I got her on the phone. I said, "No. God has called your baby."
And so when she come over to see us, the night... Left her at the house when I left yesterday. She said, "What was it, Brother Branham? My--my weakness of faith?"
I said, "You have great faith. You prayed for your baby. You and your husband held on to it, "God, raise that baby." And He refused to do it because He knows what's best. And still you love Him. That's real faith. Anybody, when mountains are moving and things can have faith. But let it go backwards one time, and see how it works. That's when you prove whether you got faith or not.
Every son that cometh to God must be chastened and tried of God. So remember, our trials works patience, and patience works hope, and so forth. So we just hold on to God. Whether He blesses us or not, we are right there to believe Him anyhow, 'cause He's promised it. And to see how He does...

E-10 Now, before we approach the subject by reading of the Word... Because faith cometh by hearing, hearing the Word of God. And now I don't want to be too long, 'cause Brother Jack when he called me and asked to come by this way (which I was happy to do it), said they had some more sick folks wanted to be prayed for. So well, we thought we'd do that, then speak a little while to you before we pray for the sick folks. And I sent Billy down tonight. He said he give out prayer cards, so that if there was a big congested crowd, well, we would call them from prayer cards. And not, we don't have to have it.
So before we approach His Word, let's approach Him just for a moment of prayer.
Would there be any like to be remembered in this prayer tonight? God bless you. God answer your prayers. He knows your needs. Now, with your heads bowed, I wonder if there's a sinner man, or woman, boy, or girl would like to say, "Remember me, Brother Branham, before God tonight as you pray." Would you raise your hands? God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. Many, all over the building, about ten or fifteen hands up, sinners.
Some without the Light of God in their soul by the Holy Spirit, would you raise your hand, say, "Remember me, Brother Branham." God bless you. Oh, just hands everywhere.

E-11 Our heavenly Father, we are approaching Thy throne of grace and mercy. We come humbly in the Name of Jesus because we are sure that He will hear us, for He said, "You ask the Father anything in My Name, I'll do it." So that's the promise, that we know that is true. No matter how much our unbelief hinders it, yet it's true. So we're believing tonight with all that is within us, that You're hearing us.
We believe that You're here, and You will answer our prayers. Especially for those sinners who raised their hands, may they see the Light of God tonight. May this altar find them laying prostrate upon it, begging mercy for their sinful soul. Grant it, Lord. I pray for those that has not got the Holy Spirit in their life to guide them. May God come into that control tower tonight and take over, guiding their light and their life in this dark hour, when it's come to a time where nations don't know what to do.
But Thou art the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We're so glad that we ever found You, Lord, years ago, so precious to our heart. You're a present Help in a time of trouble. I pray for them, each one, that they'll be filled with the Holy Ghost tonight.
Bless the sick and the afflicted that's in the building and out of the building, convalescent, or wherever they may be. We pray for mercy for them, Father.

E-12 Now, we would ask You to bless the church; continue to bless it. We want to thank You for what You're doing for this local body here of believers, these sainted, godly people who fear Your Name, Lord, and believe You that You will come someday to receive us. Though we sleep in the dust, it shall not hinder, for the trumpet of God shall sound, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. We're going anyhow. Death cannot stop us. Nothing can hinder us from meeting Him.
O God, we're so glad to have the Blood of Jesus applied to our souls, His Spirit dwelling within us. We pray now that You'll make every one of us citizens of the Kingdom tonight. God, heal the sick and the afflicted. Get glory to Thyself.
And as we approach Thy Word now for a message to this waiting congregation, some waiting to be blessed, some waiting to be filled, some waiting to be healed, some waiting to be saved, let the Holy Spirit minister to every one of us, Lord, according to our needs. And my need deeply is now, Lord, is You. Come and speak, O God, and let the Holy Spirit move upon the Word as He moved on the water in the beginning, and say, "Let there be light," as the Word goes forth, for we ask it in Jesus' Name. Amen.

E-13 In the reading, if you'd like to mark it... And I've been used the last few weeks to speaking and marking down portions of Scriptures, and I got about four pages of them here. I don't know how I would ever get to them.
[Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.] If you'd like to do it, why, you're more than welcome. I think sometimes now that the end is so nigh, I thought maybe I'd just teach a little on the subject.
You might turn to Saint John the 1st chapter. And we would read the 1st Scripture out of the 1st chapter, and the 2nd Scripture reading out of the 4th chapter of Saint John. Saint John the 1st chapter and the 40th verse of the 1st chapter. We read down to the 43rd. And the 4th chapter, we begin at the 24th, 25th, and 26th verse. 1st chapter, 40th verse...
One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
He first finds his own brother Simon, and said unto him, We have found the Messiah, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jonah: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
And the 24th verse of the 4th chapter we read this.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
The woman said unto him, I know that Messiah cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
Jesus said unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
I want to take five-lettered word from there for a text: M-e-s-s-i-a-s, Messias.
I want my subject tonight to be around the word, "The Messiah." The word itself means "the Anointed One," or it could be used "the Anointed King." And it also means "Christ." But we're going to use it first in this thought of "the Anointed King."

E-14 It appears first in Genesis 3:15, if you want to put some Scriptures down, the promised seed of the woman, which was to be the anointed One. All through the Scriptures all the prophets speak of that coming One, the anointed King. I like that word "anointed," God anointing One. And He was to be a King Who was to lead Israel to freedom from all the nations, and make them rulers over the nations. The anointed King was to do that.
I believe that Jesus of Nazareth fulfilled every description that all the prophets spoke of to be the Messiah. I believe that in Isaiah 9:6... When Israel had asked for a sign, God said, "I'll give them an everlasting sign," a sign... an eternal sign, one that would be forever. Said, "A virgin shall conceive." That'll be a sign. "And that One that'll be borned of her, His Name shall be called Counselor, the Prince of Peace, the mighty God and the everlasting Father." And I believe that Jesus met every description of every promise that Jehovah made as the coming King and Messiah.
No matter how greatly... Many believed that He was defeated in His work; He still is King. He is a King now. He's King of saints. Revelation says so, "Thou King of saints..." He has a Kingdom. Aren't you glad you belong in that dominion tonight, in the dominion of the Anointed One? Not only that, but He's made us kings and priests unto God, anointed ones unto God.

E-15 Now, although Jesus, meeting all these qualifications... And the Jews had read these promises for years. How did it ever slip up on them and slip by without them seeing it? Those theologians, so well read in the Scriptures, so particular about their Scriptures and yet they failed to see Him to be the anointed One. It sounds though it could not have happened. Looks like they would've knowed Him, so well versed. But God blinded their eyes.
It shows that it was the hand of God. He was too plainly known. His signs of Messiah proved Him to be Messiah, proved Him to be the anointed One. And for them to miss it, it sure had to be the hand of God to blind them, that they did not miss it, or, where they would not have missed it, rather. And it's the same thing today. If the Gospel's hid, it's hid to them that are blind. And the only way that they can receive sight is through God.

E-16 Now, Isaiah 9:6, we just won't read it, but He was to be the everlasting Father, the mighty God. When God made man in Genesis 1:26, it shows (if you're putting that Scripture down, Genesis 1:26), it shows that God made man to be a god to begin with. Man was made to be a god, a lesser god. He was made in the image and likeness of God. He had hands like God; he had feet like God, eyes, ears, and intelligence like God, his whole fiber, because he was a son of God. And the--Jesus referred to him as god.
Jesus said, "How can you condemn Me, saying, I'm the Son of God? Isn't it written in your law that ye are gods? And if they call those gods who the Word of God came to, how can you condemn Me when I say, I'm the Son of God?" He was referring to the prophets, the anointed ones, lesser anointed. Jesus was so anointed that He was more than a prophet. Jesus was so anointed till He was the Fullness of the Godhead bodily. He was God. The prophets had the same kind of anointing, only in a lesser condition.
And in Genesis 1:26, when God made man, He made him a god, because He gave him a dominion, and he had rulership. He had power over the birds of the air, the cattle, over the winds, the waves, the--the fishes of the sea, everything. He had dominion over everything. He was a ruler, anointed a ruler, because he was in the likeness and in the image of God with an earthly domain. That's why the Bible says the earth is groaning, crying, waiting, for the manifestation of the Sons of God. The world is waiting for the man to come back into his right estate.

E-17 Now, he is made in the image and likeness of God. That makes his... When God made him, God give him some of His Spirit, part of His Life, and he's in the likeness and the image of God. Therefore, like here in the... Man in his natural condition, the way we are now, you can see that he's much more than an animal, as they try to say we are; because man, in his fallen estate, yet being a fallen son of God, he still can better himself. He has an intelligence. He builds himself a better house, living conditions. He makes himself better travel conditions. He can speed himself through the air now at nineteen hundred miles an hour in a jet plane, or rocket.
And he's--he's made himself so he can almost travel around the world just in twenty-four hours. Just send a like satellite in the air above the space of where the air is a turning (the orbit of the world), and stand still, and watch the world pass under him; and go completely around in twenty-four hours, just standing still at one place.
Go up in the air and stand there, come right back down and be home again, just standing above the--the revolving earth, where the earth is pulling its current around, making the winds and so forth, the current. The world turning about, around about close to twenty-five hundred miles an hour. No, I'll say about eleven hundred miles an hour. It's twenty-five hundred miles around it and it's going around every twenty-four hours. It'd be pretty near eleven hundred miles an hour. And he goes up in the air and defies that, stands above gravitation, and stands there and watch the world pass around under him. He's smart, intelligent. And he's--he's made up in the image and the likeness of God, and in him is Light.

E-18 Now, for instances when a man gets saved, he's just about like... The Light that comes into him is about like this little white button on my shirt. That's when God comes into the inner part of a man. In the inner part of a man or... A man is made up in the system of a tabernacle: in the outer courts, then holy place, and the holiest of holies; the Shekinah glory on the inside, the veil.
Now, on the outside gates of a man is his five senses that enters to his body. On the inside, which is his soul, or the... The--the soul is the nature of the spirit that's on the inside of his heart; produces his soul, which makes the atmosphere around him. He has also five entrances.
Then on the inside he has only one gate, one entrance to go into the Shekinah glory, where God can enter into him and take over in the control tower. And that way is through self-will. Whether you will to or not, that's up to you. But that's the only avenue that's open to the man that God can come into his heart, is by self-will. Puts him right back like Adam and Eve on free moral agency again. You can choose right or wrong, either one you want to.

E-19 Now, self-will... Then God comes into the man, into the heart, which is the spirit. Then the spirit makes the soul, and then the soul dwells in the body. Now, when a man is converted, say, just like that little white button starts in his heart. Now, that part is God. God... When he's born again with the Spirit of God, God's Spirit dwells in him.
Now, as... He can let that Spirit grow and take out all the roots of bitterness, and press God's way through him again; he can become back in the same condition that he was when he was in the garden of Eden. Jesus said in Mark 11:24: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, if you say to this mountain, 'Be moved,' and don't doubt in your heart, but believe that what you have said will come to pass, you can have what you said." That puts him right back supreme again. It puts him right back in the condition.

E-20 Now, we're made up of light meters. Inside of us is cosmic light. Now, that cosmic light is a light that they can take an x-ray with. The x-ray doesn't come from the x-ray light; it comes from your own light. And then if that cosmic light, say, could be pushed to a place to where not cosmic light but Eternal Light... God could dwell supremely, to do our thinking, do our walking, do our talking, then it's no longer the man; it's God in the man.
(I suppose I'm deafening you by this thing, 'cause I hear it rebound. It's got an awful voice. It isn't me; it's this. Now, see, lay it onto that.)
Now, he's got Light, Life. Eternal Life is the Light of God that dwells in the man. And if he will yield to the Spirit, more he becomes unman-sinner-like, and becomes more God-like.

E-21 Here not long ago they took an x-ray of a man praying for a sick man ("Reader's Digest" wrote it up), and found out a ray of light coming from one of the men (not all of them), but one of the man's hands reflected a ray of light when they put a piece of lead foil beneath the man's hand. I guess you read it yourself.
In England they turned "the healers" (they called them) loose to all the hospitals, and there was eighty percent more healing done by Divine healing than medical cures had performed. "Reader's Digest" picked it up over here. That was in "Newsweek," and "Reader's Digest" picked it up and tried it.
And they find that there is a ray of light. When this man sincerely, not knowing they were doing it, put his hands upon a man and prayed an earnest prayer, they was putting the x-ray down, and found out a light coming from his hand. God knew what He talked about when He said, "Lay hands on the sick and they shall recover." He knows what He was speaking of. Oh, I want to see the church press into that place where it can come like God wants it to be.

E-22 Then when God was made flesh and became the Messiah, then if we can yield ourselves to be the anointed like He was, we become Messiahettes, little Lights. That's what the church is supposed to be: lights, little anointed ones. That's God's church.
His standing Light is the Light of Messiah, risen Christ in His people, the anointed ones, carrying forth His Light into all the church ages. Sometimes It almost goes completely out; then It comes back again. God's anointed One, God's Messiahic church... If Messiah means "the anointed One," and means "King," then if the church is anointed by the Messiah Spirit, it becomes a lesser but still a Messiah; because it has His Light, reflecting His power, reflecting His glory, reflecting His dominion. So it is Messiah. Oh, how it reflects Him in His Kingdom in His domain.
The trouble today, we've organized the church to death, and we got organization instead of Messiah Light. We've got Russellite, proselyte, and all other kinds of light. But we need Messiah Light, what the church needs today: the Light of the Messiah. Oh, I love Him for His goodness.

E-23 Now, that is true. God called Messiahs... God called us, and we become kings and priests unto God. Like Jesus was God's High Priest, we become a lesser priest. Jesus was... God in Fullness dwelt in Him to shine forth the expression of God to the world, for God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. And as God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, God comes into His church and anoints Him some Messiahettes. Oh, my. Do you see it?
The same things He did is in His church. The same power He had is in His church. And His church becomes His dominion, and He's King over this dominion, and we are kings and priests, offering spiritual sacrifices to God, the fruits of our lips giving praise to His Name. Amen. Oh, my. There you are: Messiahettes, Messiahettes, little messiahs, little anointed ones. Anointed off of what? The main One, anointed off of the great One.

E-24 Oh, when Jesus was on earth they could not deny Him being Messiah, because He did the signs of the Messiah. The Jews was blinded, and that's the reason they didn't see Him and see His signs as Messiah. That's what's the matter with the church tonight: it's blinded. The outside world, they can't see it, because the god of this earth has blinded their eyes to the things that are spiritual. Oh, if we could only understand...
Jesus went about and did the signs of the Messiah, and the people blasphemed Him. And if they blasphemed the great anointed King, Messiah, how much more will they call them of His household, of His Kingdom? Beelzebubs, and whatevermore they called Him, they call you worse than that: "Holy-roller, holy-jumper," something another. They always got a scandal name for it, because it comes from the devil. And they called them of His household, He said, more than they... If they called Him that, what would they call them of His household? But still it makes just the same.

E-25 Now, you say, "Now, Brother Branham, Jesus had the sign of the Messiah. How do we know what was the sign?" Well, when He come... The Bible said that when the Messiah come, He would be a--a prophet, and would show signs of the prophet. Any Scripture teacher knows that. Moses said, "The Lord your God shall raise up a prophet liken unto me."
And those... When He performed those signs of showing Himself, like in the--chapter 4 here, when He told the woman she had five husbands, she said, "Sir, I perceive that Thou art a prophet. We know that when the Messias comes, He will tell us all things."
He said, "I am He that speaks to you."
She ran into the city and told all the men of the city, "Come, see a Man Who told me the things I've done. Isn't this the very Messiah?"
Jesus said Himself, "If I do not the works of My Father, then believe Me not. If I claim to have the anointing, and do not the works of God, 'cause I am anointed by Him, with Him... It's not Me that doeth the works. That's... The Father dwelleth in Me. He doeth the works. And if I do not them works, then don't believe Me. But if I do them, believe them."

E-26 Now, that was for Messiah. For Messiahettes, the church, here it comes. Are you ready? Saint John 14:12, Jesus said, "He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also": Messiahettes. That's right. Messiahettes, the representation of Messiah on earth yet...
Mark 16, He said, "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel. These signs shall follow (the Messiahettes): He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. He that believeth not shall be damned, and these signs shall follow them that believe." How far? To all the world. Who to? Every creature. Oh, I'm so glad. How are you going to rub that out?
Said, "It's just only to the disciples."
To the disciples? He said, "To all the world, and to every creature. These signs shall follow them that believe."

E-27 I wonder where people that don't believe in signs and wonders following the believers... How would you ever read the history of the church and think it ceased with the apostles? In the church ages... I read the Nicene Fathers, the Nicene Council, oh, all the ancient writers I could think of, reading Hislop's "Two Babylons" and many of the other ancient books.
And all the way down to the early Catholic church... Down for the first six hundred years after Christ, there was Irenaeus, St. Martin, Columba, and all of those; every one of those saintly men. They preached the baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ. They preached the remission of sins. They preached speaking in tongues. They raised the dead; they healed the sick. Signs and wonders followed them plumb on to the Dark Ages, and through the Dark Ages. There's been a little minority all the way down, keeping that Gospel Light shining. What was it? Messiahettes, ones holding forth the representation of the Messiahic Kingdom.
Jesus never failed. He did just exactly what He was commissioned to do. And He come to establish a Kingdom, and He did it. The Kingdom of God comes into the heart by the power of the Holy Ghost, brings God's Spirit upon anointed church to perform signs and wonders as He did, to prove that Messiah is King of His Kingdom. Amen. I feel like shouting a little bit myself now.

E-28 Oh, when there's so many people with a card out, "Come join us, come join this, and come join this," and, "We got the biggest; we got this; we got the most expensive." What difference does that make? All of that is folly and will perish.
But the Kingdom of God is established in the heart and soul of a man by a revelation of Jesus Christ. And He said, "Upon this rock I'll build My church, and the gates of hell cannot prevail against it." Upon this revelation, and to have a revelation you become a believer, and believing, these signs shall follow them that believe.

E-29 You see what Messiah is? Messiah is the Kingdom of God, anointed ones, them anointed with the same Spirit He was anointed with. One said to him one day, "Will my sons set at the right and left hand?"
He said, "Can you drink the cup that I drink? Can you be baptized with the baptism that I'm baptized with?"
She said, "Yea."
And He said, "You will. But the Kingdom, to sit right and left hand is not Mine to give."
So it showed that we could drink the same cup of persecution, be called Beelzebub or whatever it might be, and still be baptized with the same Spirit He's baptized with. So if He was called Messiah, which He was, because He was anointed with that Holy Spirit... And any church that's anointed with the same Holy Spirit is a Messiahette, a littler, smaller, god. And someday when this body is resurrected, I hope beforehand that God can get a hold of a bunch of people that'll manifest His power in every dimension that it's supposed to be in.
Messiah, anointed One, a King to deliver, a King... You're kings and priests, kings to bring in, priests to minister to, a Messiah. His signs was to follow in all ages, reflecting His Light, His Presence with His Kingdom people.

E-30 Now, don't--you don't have to die to get this. You have to spiritually die, but you don't have to physically die. The inside is where God gets in to control you. And He--as He presses Hisself forward in you, don't let any root of bitterness, hatred, malice, strife... That'll--that'll run Him right back again.
Just get all the meanness, and the superstitions, and all the--the unbelief out of you. And every time you move out a little unbelief, God steps right in and takes over. Move out unbelief...

E-31 He told Joshua, "Everywhere the soles of your foot has set, that I give to you." And tonight, as we enter into the Kingdom, God's Kingdom, taking out all the Philistine unbelievers, and all the Amorites, and the Amalekites, and whatevermore, throw it out of us like that, we take possession. Amen. I like that.
Say, "Days of miracles is past."
"You Amorites, get out of me. I've put a footprint there; I've took over."
"There's no such a thing as--as seeing visions."
"Get out of there, you Amalekite. I'm coming over."
There you are. You're pressing out. From that little button is taking over the fibers of you, spreading out, God working through you, in you, around you.

E-32 No wonder Elijah laid his body upon that dead baby and it come to life. It was God in that man. God had took over. He was anointed. Jesus said he was. Every prophet of God in the Old Testament was anointed with the Holy Ghost. They were. Then they were lesser Lights. He was the Fullness of God, being Messiah. They was Messiahettes then, smaller Messiahs, for they were anointed with the same Spirit that He was anointed with, only He had It in the Fullness.
And every man today that's received the true baptism of the Holy Ghost is anointed with the same Spirit that Jesus of Nazareth was, that went about doing good and healing the sick. Oh, my. That makes me feel good to know that He lives today.
There's something about a man. He is a god. He was made to be a god. His purpose here on earth was to be a god, to have a dominion over everything in the earth. Oh, my. Now, don't let that stagger you, 'cause I got some more Scriptures wrote down here. See?

E-33 Here the other night I saw on a telecast of a man with psychic mental faith set a glass of water and stood back and kept concentrating on that glass of water till it bursted it, just by concentration, watching that glass of water. And the glass cracked and the water run out: just pure mental consecration. Why? That's his fibers. That's his makeup. If he can do that--got a power in him by mental thinking that can break a glass of water, and him being a sinner, that shows that there was something made in that man. He's in a fallen--fallen, perverted condition. But if that man can only get back to God, and let God get into him, why, with that power turned loose of the Kingdom of God...
He didn't have no conductor. He was like a shotgun. He just splattered every way. But if that spirit that's in a man could be converted, and put Christ in there, where he's got a conductor... A conductor is a wire that conducts it. Amen. And let a man with that same faith in the conductor of the Word of God, he can raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out devils. Amen. He's fashioned like a god. He looks like God. Sure was. That's the reason God was man, man was God. And this is His offsprings: man. He's only trying to get a hold of man, trying to get man into His hand.

E-34 Now, not conductors... Now, not all theology is the right kind of conductor, you know. There's a lot of theology that's an insulator from it. Got a lot of churches says, "The days of miracles is past; there's no such thing as Divine healing; only devils speak in tongues." Now, that's an insulator. You don't want nothing like that. Get away from that. Get back to the Word. The Word is God's conductor. A man that believes in God's Word, has God's Word, stands as high as these buildings around here when he walks out on it. It's the boss. It conducts the man. It conducts the spirit. When in there...
A man's made up to have a great faith. What makes...? I've preached here at this tabernacle some time ago on "Thirsting For Life." What makes a woman want to get out here and rock-and-roll? What makes a boy, young teen-age kid, want to do that? And not only that, but grandpa and grandma? What do they do it for? What makes them go out here? Why does people want to act the way they do? Is because they were made to thirst for something and... They was made to thirst, but to thirst after God. And they're trying to hush that holy thirst by letting the devil pile what he calls pleasures on it.
You'll never, never, never satisfy it till God comes in and takes control of you. You can dance; you can drink; you can commit adultery; you can do whatever you want to; and you'll wake up headache, and someday in hell. But the reason you do that is because you were made in the image of God to thirst after God. God wants to get in there. God wants to let His Word come into you and use it as a conductor.
"God said so." Like Abraham...
"God said you're going to have a baby."
"How do you know you're going to have it?"
"God said so."
"You're a hundred years old, how can you have it?"
"God said so." He was anointed. Amen. He was anointed. And he had the Word, and the Word was anointed to him. It was a conductor to lead him to the baby.

E-35 Any man or woman tonight will take that same Word of God... "By his stripes we were healed." Let the anointing, the Messiah, come upon you; that conductor will lead you right straight to your healing. It'll lead you to salvation. Oh, I just love it.
That's what it'll do, 'cause you were made to thirst, made for God. And the devil tries to pervert you, make you think you're having a good time out here, keep you blinded like he does, did the Jews, until the time that you cross the separating line. And then you're finished.
It's about where this nation is today, and not only this one but others. The world won't believe it. The Bible said in II Timothy 3, that in the last days here that they would be heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God; truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, and despisers of those that are Messiahettes; traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness.

E-36 Don't you never look for this big, high-type evangelism and thing to do anything. That's not God's way of doing it. He came to His own. His own received Him not. See? He was small. He didn't...
Why, He lived right there in Palestine all of His life nearly, and I'd say eighty percent of the people never knowed He was there. But He's sent to the church. He was sent to the people that He was going to receive. He knowed His own; His own knows Him. "My sheep know My voice." Don't let that go over, Shreveport. Please. Hold that. "My sheep know My voice by My Word. My Word, if it's taught and don't declare the same thing that I did, then it's the wrong conductor."

E-37 [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.] Messiahship. So has the eagle has got it. We know that.
And now, we say in the man, the man... Before I leave that subject... The man, what is he? He's got a hand like God, got eyes like God, got ears like God, got a body like God. He was fashioned after God. He was given an earth and a dominion. He was made god over the earth to rule the earth, a lesser god. God rules the universe, everything. But man was given the earth, to rule the earth. He was a--he was a Messiahette.
That's what he is tonight if he gets back to God. He is a Messiahette, a little Messiah. If He had... If "Messiah" means "anointed one," and you're anointed, then what are you? That's exactly right: a Messiahette. We call it that just for the Word's sake till we get a little farther down in the Scripture to it. All right.

E-38 Did you ever think of this? Let me just ask you something. Look at me a minute. This is my hand; that's my finger; this is my ear; this is my nose; but who's me? That's not me. That's something belongs to me. See? This is my hand, but who is me that owns the hand? See, this is just a house I'm living in. What kind of...
Well, there's got to be something in there called "me." "Me's" got to be somewhere, because this is mine. You see it? "Me" is somebody, because I own something. I have a hand. It's mine. Well, who's "me" that that belongs to? That's your spirit. Well, it depends on what kind of a spirit that is. Who you yield your members to, that's whose servant you are.

E-39 And now, if you can crack a glass of water because that you have a telepathy, a mental conception, and a certain power that you can put off by being a human being, a power of mental force that's unseen and unknown of only through that cycle... If you could bust a glass of water... But that kind of a spirit--a human perverted, damned spirit, because you were fashioned in the image of God, what can you do when you let the God that fashions you come into you and control you? Amen. You can bring every promise of God to pass. Yes, sir. Every promise God promised will come to pass. All right.
God's gift is His Word. God promised, made a gift, sent a gift. You take the gift, and then with His Word, there's your conductor. With a gift of God... If God give you the gift of the Holy Ghost (You believe that?), well, the Word of God is a conductor to use that power with. Whatever the Holy Ghost promised you, that's what you can do.

E-40 See, that's the thing that delivers the Word. The Word goes right out, and the Holy Spirit follows the Word. Wherever the Word's preached... You see your pastor preach it. First thing you know, "whew," [Brother Branham makes a blowing sound--Ed.] across the building goes the Holy Ghost. See? That's right. It's the conductor of the Word. The Word goes... or, the Word is the conductor of the Spirit, because where the Word is preached, the Spirit follows it. Wherever it goes, why, the Spirit follows the Word. Oh, I like that. I like sound Bible teaching, and the Bible Holy Ghost coming back confirming Bible teaching.
If the Holy Ghost doesn't confirm it, then you got your wires crossed. You got a ground somewhere. Yes, sir. If you can get that Word hooked up to the dynamo, that great thing that puts out the fullness of the current, He will just--He will just set that little wire afire for you. That's right. And it'll do things for you.

E-41 When John the Baptist came forth, he was--he was--he was part of the Word. He was like a Messiahette. He was--he was ordained of God by the Word. He was a gift of God that came to the world. Do you believe that? Isaiah 40 said he was the voice of one crying in the wilderness. And when he come and got in his position to cry in the wilderness, he was perfectly fearless with it. Amen. Yes, sir. Brother, now look what--how great he was.
Now, when God spoke of John coming, why, He said all the mountains skipped like little rams, the leaves clapped their hands, and the high places was made low, and the low place was made high. I imagine the theological interpretation of that was, "Holy brethren, some day God will pull back the corridors of heaven, drop down Jacob's ladder, and there'll be a mighty prophet walk down out of the air; and an angelic escort coming with Him, coming down to the earth. And he will step down in the yard right here now, with the temple, where the holy temple is. And if Caiaphas is high priest, he will say, 'Your Honor, sir, I've come down.'"

E-42 Oh, my. What happened? When he come, there was an old fuzzy-faced guy coming out of the wilderness, piece of sheepskin wrapped around him, probably never took a bath every three months, walking out there, standing in mud up to his knees, and said, "Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand." That's when the mountains skipped like little rams. That's when the leaves clapped their hands. That's when the high places was made low and the low places made high.
What--what man calls great, God calls foolish. I wonder if some of our greatness of evangelism today, if God don't call it a bunch of foolishness--trying to flower up big, somebody's, stuffed shirts and everything. I just wonder what God thinks about it. Why, He'd have... It ain't...

E-43 This--this Gospel ain't going to shake the world. It's not world shaking; it's church shaking. It shakes the church. Right now in these last few years, the church has been shook like it never... And the world knows nothing about it. It wasn't supposed to shake the world. They're dead anyhow. You can't shake them old dead carcasses out there. They're twice dead, plucked up by the roots. How can you do it?
"Well, I belong to So..."
"Well, go ahead and belong to it." See? You can't shake them.
"Well, grandmother did so-and-so."
That's... No matter what grandmother done, what's God doing now? This is the Light. Walk in it. Grandmother lived in her days. It was all right, but you can't live in her life. Why don't you wear her clothes then, sister? Maybe that was just a little too rank, but... No, you want to take her church, but you won't wear her clothes.

E-44 All true prophets of God call out against sin. All anointed ones do. That's true. They do. And God keeps His Word to every one. He always does. God will take you... That is, you'll receive every promise if you go through the Pentecostal clearing house.
You know, you write a check; they won't pay that check till it goes through the clearing house. It's got to go through the--the clearing house; then the check is paid off. And when you say you repented, and you're ready to go through God's Pentecostal clearing house, God will pay off with every gift He promised. Amen.
Try Acts 2:38 one time, and see if that's His clearing house. You know, Paul mentioned to people in Acts 19 hadn't been through the clearing house yet. Yeah. He said... Oh, they was having great joy, but said, "Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?"
Said, "Didn't know whether there be any."
Said, "How was you baptized?"
Said, "We've been baptized all right."
Said, "How? To what?
Said, "Unto John's."
Said, "That won't work. You got to go through the clearing house. God's done fixed up His bank to pay off these promises with."

E-45 Peter said on the day of Pentecost, "These promises is to you and your children and them that's far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." And when they met Acts 2:38, God honored the check, went through the clearing house, and here it come back. They begin to speak in tongues and prophesy, magnify God.
And God... When a believer signs his name as a believer and passes through God's Pentecostal clearing house with the baptism of the Holy Ghost, God will pay off every promise and everything else. His bank is good. His promises are real.

E-46 Everything's signed in Jesus' Name. Can't sign no other way: won't work. He don't know no titles; He only knows the Name. Amen. You believe that? Certainly it is. Yes, sir. Just His Name is the only thing He... He said, "Ask the Father anything in My Name." Now, don't you go putting four or five different names on there. He don't know nothing about it. The check comes back. You'll get a bogus invitation.
But whenever you pass through the clearing house... God will let you know whether it comes through the clearing house or not. "What you ask it shall be given. If ye abide in Me and My words in you, ask what you will (John 15) it'll be given unto you." Right. Then you have the anointing. Them's the Messiahs--Messiahettes, rather, the little Messiahs. The same gift that was upon Him...
He obeyed the Word and when He come to fulfill the Word, then God... He was the Messiah. He was--He was Jesus when He was born. But when the Holy Ghost came upon Him after His baptism, He was anointed with God. God was in Him, 'cause He come to fulfill the Word.

E-47 When you come to this altar, come here to fulfill God's Word on your invitation of "whosoever will, let him come."
Don't come signing, "Well, Lord, if You'll heal me of this stomach ache, I believe I'll serve..." Don't come like that. Come, tell Him you're a rascal. You're no good. You want to be filled with the Holy Ghost, and you're no good at all. You don't deserve nothing, deserve to die and go to hell. But because He invited you to come, "I'm coming, Lord. Nothing in my arms I bring; simply to Thy cross I cling." There you are. He's going to honor that then. There's a pool of water right downstairs. See if He don't take care of His Word. He always does, when it goes through His clearing house. But it's got to come through the clearing house.
When a man says he believes Jesus, accepts Him as his personal Saviour, God gives Him a checkbook: anything he wants to ask, and down at the bottom, if he will just sign Jesus' Name to it. Don't go down there with no other one, 'cause it won't work. See? You got to go through the real Pentecostal clearing house. And when it does, then your check will be recognized, and God's promises He always pays off. Every one of His Messiahettes receive their mark back.

E-48 We're living in the last days, at the closing age, the Laodicean Age, one of the darkest ages that's ever been since the Dark Ages, a more hypocritical age right now than there was then. They had no Light at all. Twilight is a deceiving hour. Anyone knows in travel, you better slow down a little bit when twilight comes. Is that right? We're to have a messenger in this twilight. Did you know that? God promised it at the Laodicean Age.
I was reading in the Scriptures the other day up in the mountain. I was reading there, and the Holy Spirit told me to go up to a certain tree and stand there. He wanted to speak to me. I stood there for a half hour. He never said nothing. I laid down under this oak tree, and laid myself out. I said, "Lord, You spoke to me about a mile up here, and said come up here on the mountain here (this Sportsman's Hollow, as I called it), and You'd speak to me. Then He showed me, when He opened up Malachi, the 4th chapter. And I said... "Behold the day cometh that shall burn as an oven, burn up the proud..." (If you want to put it down, Malachi 4.)
And He said, "It shall burn the proud, and the--and the righteous shall walk out upon the ashes of the wicked." Well, then... And He said, "Behold I send to you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the Lord shall come; it shall... And He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the children of the fathers, or the children's hearts to the fathers."

E-49 Well, I said, "That was right. I believe that." Jesus said when the disciples asked Him that, they said, "Well, why did the...?" When He was claiming to be the Messiah, said, "Why does the scribes say that Elias must first come?"
Jesus said, "He's already come, and you didn't know him." And then they understood that He spoke of John the Baptist. How many ever heard that? Well, my, you all have read the Bible. John the Baptist... But remember, that wasn't the Elijah that He spoke of of the last days, 'cause the world never burnt and the millennium set in. Watch the Scripture. Watch the reading of it. Turn to Malachi 4 just a minute. Watch there. I never knew that before. I never try to speak anything until the Holy Spirit comes first to reveal it. Watch, Malachi 4:5...
Behold, I will send to you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great... day of the Lord... (that great terrible day that He will burn the earth):
And he shall turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to the fathers,...

E-50 Watch. The first time Elijah come, he turned the hearts of the fathers, the old patriarch fathers (See?), back there, the old Jews, to the faith of the children that'd just received Him, and believed of the coming Messiah. "Turned the hearts of the fathers to the children, and (a conjunction, tying the sentence together, when He comes the second time) the hearts of the children back to the Pentecostal fathers." Hallelujah. There you are.
So how can the evening Light be anything but back to Acts again? Right. When He said before that day comes, that'll burn the earth like an oven and the righteous will walk out upon their ashes... Oh, brother, we are looking for a Light to come. It's here.
And remember, when this Elijah comes... I'll give you some of his description. When Elijah comes, that's the messenger to the Laodicean church Age. We find Elijah coming before... Remember, Elijah was the one that went up on a chariot, never tasted death. And the message of this great messenger that'll come in this closing day in the Laodicean church Age, the Pentecostal Age, will be the one that'll take the church to the rapture. Exactly. He was raptured himself, and he will come with the church to the rapture.

E-51 And remember again... I'll give you some of the descriptions of this man. He will be a woman hater. He sure will. Look at--look what he was on Elijah: Jezebel. Look on John: Herodias. See? Another thing, he will be firmly against denominations. Look at Elijah; look at John. "Don't think to say within yourself we have Abraham to our father. God's able of these stones to rise children to Abraham." He will hate denominations; he will hate immoral women. He will be a man in the wilderness, that lives in the wilderness, coming forth with his Message. And he will bring the hearts of the people...
Oh, there's been a hundred Elijah's come up in the last days: Alexander Dowie, and so many in the world today saying they're Elijah, they're Elijah of the day. Elijah will go back to the original Pentecostal Ephesus church, and bring that same Message to the people with signs of the Messiah. The Bible said so.

E-52 He said, "There'll come a day that won't be a day. But in the evening time it shall be light." Is that right? Now, look. The sun rises in the east. Now, this is... You say, "This has been a day that the... We are children of the Gospel day." This has been a day of darkness to the children. The morning Star only herald the coming then right vice versa from what it is literally; because the morning Star that rose back there is the morning Star that hails the coming of the Son, and one hails the going of the Son. The natural sun was leaving when that Star hailed his, and the Gospel was just coming in. We are children of the Light, but we're... The world is in darkness now.
The church has been through the darkest age--it went through the Dark Ages. But the evening Star--the evening star is the one that heralds the Light. The evening Star is the one hails the Light to the church. The church has just been living in the minority, just way down low, just a little group. But finally the day will--that trumpet of God shall sound and the day will break eternal. The day break is coming, and this great one Spirit of God that'll come upon somebody in these last days, that'll herald this Message, will bring the hearts of the children back to the Pentecostal fathers.

E-53 And how was the Book of Acts wrote? Start reading it. Look how we've contaminated it with all kinds of foolish things of our own. But there'll be someone come someday: a Light, before the going out, this open door that's set before the church. Watch and see if it doesn't come some of these days. God will send the Elijah. Just as certain as I'm standing in this pulpit, He will send; and that Elijah will shake the people right straight back to the original Pentecostal doctrine.
Now, start out at Pentecost and see how it was. See what they did. See if it'll be shaking hands. And it'll be right straight back. And when Peter preached on the day of Pentecost up there, when they was all filled with the Holy Ghost and speaking in other tongues, these men said, "Now, what can we do to get it?"
Peter said, "Repent, every one of you and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is to you and to your children, them that's far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." That was the original Pentecostal Light.
Now, that's the morning Star, and the evening Star is to reflect the same Light back again. He will cry with a voice in the wilderness of the approaching Messiah. He will also show--show the signs of the coming Messiah. He will be a prophet of God, a great man. And when he comes, watch what he will do. The Bible speaks that he will do this.

E-54 Also before the day comes there's got to be a time come into the church to fulfill what Jesus said: "As it was in the days of Sodom, so will it be in the coming of the Son of man." Sodom, the world is in the Sodom condition. We all know that. Is that right, church? The world's in a Sodom condition. Now, watch. What kind of a message did Sodom receive? They had a modern Billy Graham that went down and preached to the intellectuals. Just a couple was pulled out, and they was in disgrace and brought disgrace, and the wife turned to a pillar of salt: looking back.
Now, notice that. One Angel stood out with Abraham. The Angel that stayed with Abraham (not knowing who he was, supposedly), after He said, "Abraham, where is your wife, Sarah?"
Said, "She's in the tent behind you."
The Bible said it was in--she was in the tent behind the Angel. And He said, "I'm going to visit you according to the time of life. I promised you that baby. I'm going to see that you get it."
And Sarah laughed within herself. And when she did, the Angel of the Lord said, "Why did Sarah laugh?"

E-55 Now, He said that would take place before the coming of the Lord. "As it was in the days of Sodom, so shall it be in the coming of the Lord." Do you see, friends? It's going to reflect the same kind of a Light that the morning Star reflected. And he's going to do what? Call the children back to the faith of the fathers, the Pentecostal fathers.
Paul, Silas, John, Mark, Irenaeus, St. Martin, Columba, all those, those great martyrs that preached this Gospel and held to it, stayed directly with it and was pushed out. When the great classical bunch begin to want an organization... You notice in the Bible there it said, "the deeds of the Nicolaitanes." Then what was the deeds in one church age, become a doctrine. You know what "Nico" means? I looked it up. "Nico" means "conquer, overcome."
Overcome what? The laity, when all the holiness goes into some man, just some man alone. He's the only one that's holy, and he's the one... The church can live any way they want to and make confessions to him. Huh! The Holy Ghost is for whosoever will, laity and all. It isn't God's will for it to just be a holy man. It's the Holy Ghost amongst a people that's borned again, showing signs and wonders, that same church. That evening Star will reflect the same Light the morning Star did.

E-56 But look, when it's come there'll be a time, He said, "That'll be not either night or day." You can't tell it hardly, a dismal day, like we've been having, rainy in our country, dismal. "But in the evening it shall be light." The evening Light will come.
Well, the evening Light, the sun in the evening is the same sun that rises in the morning. The evening light is to reflect the same light the sun reflected at morning. It's just the setting of the sun and the rising of the sun. You see it? Now, we're in the evening time. Oh, thanks be to God for the evening Light, reflecting His promise, fulfilling it.

E-57 Now, the world's in a Sodom condition. Oh, His eaglets... I got here, where I preached on that one time, the morning Lights, the morning Star, the same message. It's been evening for a long time now. It's a dismal time, so a dangerous time. Remember, twilight is the most dangerous time of all; traveling, you have to watch. And this is the most dangerous day you ever lived in. The Bible said in Matthew 24 that, "It would come to pass in the last days till it would deceive the very elected if possible."
I heard Billy Graham say the other day in a message; he said, "The elected is already deceived." No, no. The elected ain't going to be deceived. No, no. They won't be. No. church members will, but not the elected. They was chosen from the foundation of the world. They cannot be deceived. It's impossible, said Hebrews 6. They will not be deceived.
But it's a dangerous time and for--for the church in this evening time, because there... Look, they'll go to church, and almost be just exactly like Pentecostal believers. You'll... They'll shout, dance, speak with tongues, and everything else: so close that would deceive the very elected if possible. But remember, the only way where you know that you're right is follow the Conductor, the Word. It brings forth the absolute truth. See? Keep on the Conductor, just be filled with it. Yes, sir.

E-58 Now, we find out that this Laodicean church, the church age that we're in now (if you want to read it, Revelations the 3rd chapter), we see what--what done--what taken place when this message is supposed to go forth? The church had been so worldly, and organized itself, till they organized its very God right out of it.
The most pathetic Scripture I ever seen is Hebrew--is Revelations the 3rd chapter, when--at the Laodicean church Age: Jesus standing on the outside of His own church, knocking, trying to get back in. At the first church He was walking among the seven golden candlesticks, the church ages. But in the Laodicean He was on the outside, trying to get back in His own church. It shows what this age has done to Him.
They've organized Him out. They've organized His doctrine out. They've organized His Bible out. They got a book of creeds, of philosophies and so forth that they read and accept it instead: cold confessions, instead of letting God come in and make a Messiahette out of them, give them the baptism of the holy Ghost to show signs and wonders. They organized it all out, pushed Him over to one side.
Now, He's on the outside, making His last plea, trying to get back in again at the door. "Behold I stand at the door and knock," the Laodicean church Age, trying to get back in His own church where they pressed Him out. Isn't that pitiful? That's the most pathetic thing I can think of: of Him in His own church, giving His life for that church, and doing the way that they did. And sent the Light to the church, and said He did, and they rejected it end pushed Him on the outside, accepted some kind of a creed or something the church had made up. And there He is, standing at the outside trying to get in.

E-59 Now, let me just in closing say this, 'cause it's getting too late. I got about twenty more Scriptures wrote down here, but I won't get to them. Let me say this. Did you notice? On the outside of the church... Are you listening? Say, "Amen." [Congregation says, "Amen"--Ed.] On the outside of the church, trying to get in... Remember, the ones inside the denominations never saw Him. It's the ones on the outside saw Him. They heard a knock, but they didn't see it.
That's the way it is today. A man that cannot, that'll go around today saying, "Well, I never seen nothing about it. I went over there. I never seen nothing." See, he can't see it. He's all organized up so tight he can't see nothing. But if you can just ever get free enough to get outside to look Who's standing out there knocking, to see Who it is doing these things... You see what I mean? Get outside, outside.
Don't be so organized, 'cause when you do, you can't see nothing. Only thing you can see is your denomination. But if you can get on the outside you'll see Jesus in all of His glory and His mercy, trying to get into His people. Oh, I look at Him standing there.

E-60 I was talking about Messiah, the Messiah, Messiahettes. They are the Light of the church today, the Light of the world. Jesus said to the disciples, "Ye are the light of the world." Now, you're a candle that sets on a hill, that--a light that can be seen from everywhere. We are the Light. If we are, we reflect His Messiah Light. The Messiah sign follows the--the Messiahettes the same as it followed the Messiah.

E-61 Here some time ago in your lovely church here, I believe I preached on the subject here, "As The Eagle Stirreth Her Nest," fluttereth over her young. I believe I preached on that down here, Brother Jack, or somewhere. Yeah, "Eagle Stirring Her Nest..."
I like to watch the big eagle. You know that father eagle... You know, God called Himself an Eagle. Did you know that? He called His prophets eagles. Sure He did. He told it that... This eagle, Jacob, He found him in a--in a howling wilderness, and as the eagle stirred its nest... Now, we find out He calls Himself Eagle too, so He's Jehovah Eagle. And then He's got a bunch of eaglets: eaglets, like Messiahettes, eaglets.
Now, I can see the big father eagle as he's walking around over the nest. He loves to look at his children. Oh, my. How he loves to look at them. How do they look? Look just like he does. They're not hybrid. They're not half buzzard and half crow and something else. They're eagles. Amen.
That's what we are today. We're Methodists, Baptists, and Assemblies, and So-and-So, and So-and-So, buzzards, crows, and everything else, how can we be eaglets? How can we, when we see the sign of God moving among us and call it something else? Hallelujah.

E-62 He likes to, because he knows that they are thoroughbred. They got his flesh, they got his blood, they got his spirit. Amen. How proud he looks over his eaglets, walking around. Amen.
The little eaglets look at him and say, "How great thou art, how great thou art." Look at myself, oh, my. "Going to take a flight one of these days, ain't we, papa?" See? Oh, how he likes to look at them. They look like him. They act like him. They are his flesh, his blood, his spirit. Amen.
That's the way God's church is, His Eaglets, His Messiahettes. They look like Him; they act like Him; they preach like Him; they do the works that He did. "The things that I do shall he also. More than this shall he do, 'cause I go to the Father." Amen. "These signs shall follow My eaglets." Amen "They'll do just as I do. If My Spirit's in them, then they'll do the works that I do. If they don't do the works I do, it's because that My Spirit's not in them."

E-63 What if He looked down at one of them little eagles, and the first thing you know he had a bill like a buzzard. He'd say, "Now, wait a minute here. There's something wrong."
An old crow jumped up on the nest and began to say, "Caw, caw, caw. The days of miracles is past. Caw, caw, caw. There's no such a thing as Divine healing." Ha, I bet he'd just take his big paw and oust him right out. And he'd break his neck just as sure as the world. See? Yeah. "Oh, there's no... That's mental telepathy. There's no such a thing as them things in these days." You buzzard of the flesh, and that's dead flesh too.
That's what the... God wants eaglets. He wants Messiahettes. He wants men and women who have signs and wonders, anointed ones. He wants a church that's filled with the Holy Ghost, a church reflecting Him the same yesterday, today, and forever. God didn't die. He just borned a Kingdom, got His Messiahettes in it. Amen. Every word He says, they say "amen" to it. That's right. Yes, sir. They look like Him, act like Him; they believe it, got the Conductor moving right on out with signs and wonders following. That's Messiah. Messiah lives tonight. He isn't dead. He's alive forevermore. You believe that? What did He say it would be?
It shall be light in the evening time,
The path to glory you will surely find; ( Is that right?)
In that water way,... is the light today,
Buried in the precious Name of Jesus.
Young and old, repent of all your sins.
The Holy Ghost will surely enter in;
The evening Lights have come.
It is a fact that God and Christ are one.

E-64 Man was made to be a god. God was made to be man. Oh, Messiah. The great Jehovah dwelt in a human body, made that body like His so He could be a human body, a Messiahette, to govern His earth and control it. Amen. "The works that I do, shall they do also." Oh, I like that.
Jehovah walks back and forth over His throne, says, "Them's My eaglets. Yeah. They are flesh of My flesh, and bone of My bone. They're borned of My Spirit, and washed in My Blood." Amen "They're Mine. They're Mine. Anything I tell them, they believe it. Why? They're eagles. That's what they are. They're eagles, just the same as I'm an eagle. They're--they're little gods, where I'm big God. That's right. I'm Jehovah Papa. They're My children." There you are. So He promised these things to be taking place.
Now, if we're children of His Kingdom, them signs should be making themself known among us. Is that right? Now, we can speak of it, and talk of it, and stay all night on it. But will it work? That's the next thing. That's the next thing. If it works, then it's true. God's Word promised in Saint John 14:12, "He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he also." Is that right? I believe that, don't you? All right. Let's bow our heads just a moment now.

E-65 Father God, the hour of time has come. We realize that there's no way for us to--to find anything, no place to go now but only to Jesus. We are--we're at the end time. We see all these things taking place. We see our nation just at bankruptcy. We see our--our world at bankruptcy. We see Communism sweeping in, an ungodly spirit called the "iron curtain." We see one rising yonder in China called the "bamboo curtain." Then we see one rise called the purple curtain, the Roman curtain, taking over the world.
Now, Father God, we pray that You'll let us remember this: that these things are Your promises. You promised us these things in the evening time. We're so glad to see You making Your Word fulfilled in our lives. We pray, Father, that You'll cause a hunger and thirst. Now, these few words has been chopped up and set out. I pray that You'll make them known to the people's hearts, that they'll realize that God is a power. He's a power.

E-66 Christ was the Fullness of God. He was the anointed Jehovah. He was Jehovah-anointed body, Jesus of Nazareth. God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. And He died that He might sanctify these fallen human race, and bring them back to sons of God again, to be anointed ones, anointed with the Holy Spirit to go forth to reflect His Kingdom until He returned all the way through the seven church ages. And then at the last age, we find Him on the outside of His own church, trying to get back in.
But He promised that He would send a Light in that day, and we have found it, Lord. We have found it, and see that it's a correct Conductor, because we hooked the Word that we believe with the God of heaven Who promised it; and find out that the current that performed the first signs comes right back again and performs the same Messiahic signs. Then, Father, we know that the Word that we call the Conductor is right, because It produces every promise. We thank You for it, Father.
We pray that You'll save the--the unsaved, heal the sick, fill with the Holy Ghost those who desire it, and encourage Your church. While we further wait on You, Lord, in the healing service, we commit these people and all to You, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

E-67 What is it now? I watch the clock, and I don't want to keep you too long. We got to start early in the morning too. What did He promise? He promised that in the evening there would be Light. He promised. Can you see what I mean when I say Messiahettes? Raise up your hand if you do. If Messiah means "anointed," and He was the Messiah because He was anointed with the Fullness of God, then we are anointed too with the same Spirit.
Now, you say, "If... How do you know you're anointed with the same Spirit?" Well, the same Life, the same things that He did... "He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he also." What did He say in Saint John 5:19? "Verily, verily, I say unto you, the Son can do nothing but what He sees the Father doing: that doeth the Son likewise." Any correct Messiahette would have the same Message. Is that right?

E-68 And remember, who was it received the baptism first, the Holy Ghost baptism? Jews. Who next? Samaritans. Last was the Gentiles (is that right?), 'cause they was brought in after the death, burial, and resurrection. And they didn't... Now, they received the Message all right.
Now, notice, Ham, Shem, and Japheth's people... Now, Ham's people and Japheth's people was to see the... That's the tribes of the earth, the three tribes of the earth. Now, we see that the Jews received the Messiah sign by Jesus. The Samaritans received it by Jesus. But now, the last days... Now, the Gentiles didn't, because they wasn't looking for no Messiah. We were heathens in them days, our people, the Anglo-Saxon. We were heathens, worshipped idols. Moabites and whatevermore, Amorites and so forth, that--that was our people. Now. But now for two thousand years we've looked for a Messiah.

E-69 Now, how did He make Himself known back there? By sending Jesus and anointing Him with His own Spirit. And Jesus said, "If I do not the works of My Father, then believe Me not." Is that right? "If I do the works, you believe the works." Now... Because why? He didn't hook up with their organizations, their denominations. He stood out from all of them, bawled them out. And they say He tore up churches and everything. Could you expect His Spirit to do anything less when He comes again? He will do the same thing, 'cause it can't change. It's God.
We can change. Our human selves can change, but God can't change. He has to be the same. He's infinite; we're finite. So He cannot change.
So when He comes upon His church in the last days, what will it be? A pulled-out, a group of people anointed with the Spirit of God. They will be Messiahettes. See? They'll be anointed ones. And if His Spirit is in them, they'll do the things that He did, just exactly. Isn't that--isn't that right?

E-70 Then if you say... If you can take that, and connect the Word with the dynamo, then if the dyn... Then if the current comes back saying it's right, you've got a connection. If you put up there and nothing happens, you got an insulator somewhere, got a broken line somewhere. See? But put it up against the dynamo; if the current comes through, then you got a straight conductor. You got a conductor. And if you want to believe it's so...
I tell you how I received it. I come just the way the Bible said it. I never varied for any denomination. My own Baptist church put me out because I wouldn't ordain a woman preacher. It's not Scriptural, and it's not right. And I said, "You might as well put me out, 'cause you have to sooner or later. So I'll just walk out before you do do it." All right.

E-71 Then I--then when it comes to a lot of these stuff today, I... When I was just a boy, before I ever heard of Oneness, Twoness, three Gods, four Gods, ever what they got, I believed there was one God, and I believed that His Name was Jesus. And I was baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ by a Missionary Baptist preacher, 'cause I asked him to do it. I've preached it ever since.
There's no Scripture in the Bible... You bring me one Scripture where anybody was ever baptized in any other... Show me one place in the Bible where anybody was ever baptized using the titles of Father, Son, Holy Ghost. Or read the history and tell me, until the Catholic churches was organized, anybody was ever baptized in the Name of Father, Son, Holy Ghost, then I'll walk out of the pulpit.
It's a Catholic creed, and every man or woman baptized that way is not baptized into the church of the living God. They're baptized into the Catholic church. That's their creed. Show me in the Scriptures; show me by history, anything outside the Catholic church ever did it.
And Luther brought it out and Wesley after him. Here we come down in this. Each one of them churches, down to that, said, "He's not denied My Name." But when it come out over that Thyatira Church Age, He said, "You got a name. You got a name that you're alive; but you're dead." That's it.

E-72 I don't mean that the water baptism in Jesus' Name saves you, but that's correct Christian baptism. You're saved by faith (That's right.) through Christ. That's right. But that's correct baptism. That's the way you shall be baptized (exactly), the way you must be to keep in Bible order. You must be baptized that way.
Then when you have received the Holy Ghost and the power of God comes upon you, then you'll do the very same things that Jesus did, 'cause it's His Spirit in you. If there's not, there's something wrong. That's right. Oh, glory. I feel like I could almost speak in tongues now myself.

E-73 You know, the first time I ever spoke in tongues I was in a Baptist church, preaching. I was standing upon a platform preaching as hard as I could and jumped plumb out in the middle of the aisle. And I said some words in unknown tongues, not knowing what I said, looked around, and all the congregation stretched their necks and looked around. And something said back through me, "I'm the--the wilder--a rock in a weary land, a shelter in the time of storm." And first time I ever spoke in tongues.
And, my. I knowed there was something real about it somewhere. I didn't know, but I kept on till I found it, just kept on going, sold everything, and bought that great Pearl. My, I don't care... If the Bible says... I--I believe It. I don't care how many organizations, how many says this, that, or the other. It's God's Word, and It's the truth, and I stay right with It. That's all. And the only way you're ever going to do it, is stay word by word with the Bible.

E-74 I was preaching the other night on them four living creatures, trying to... And they were--they were not beasts, because the words in... They're living creatures. In Hebrew--in Revelations, 4th chapter, the--the word translated is "zoon: z-o-o-n" which means "living creatures." In Revelation 11 and Revelation 17 that's another name altogether, and it means--it means a "wild untamed beast." But this was living creatures.
What they were, they were cherubims, like was at the gate guarding the holy place. We see them in Ezekiel the 1st chapter, when the amber Light of God, and the rainbow was there, and the glory of God. Which we got a picture of It, the same way that they saw It there. We had a picture taken of It. And there It was, right in the building. Taken a picture of the Light (right), just exactly the way Ezekiel saw It. Ezekiel 1:26 to 28 shows you the picture of It, just like he saw the glory of God.

E-75 Now, you see, that eye of the camera can sometimes see the thing that the human eye can't see. That's right. They seen It when humans don't see it. But we just become so chugged up, our light meters. Where they ought to be holy Light meters, they're chugged up so with foolishness, and denominations, and things, we can't see no farther than our nose, or some--like that. We don't see those things out there.
And the Holy Spirit is here today. He's just the same yesterday, today, and forever, the same Power, the same signs, the same wonders, the same God, the same baptism, the same Holy Ghost, the same thing. Everything's the same, because He can't change. Amen.

Then He returns back to make Hisself known to--to--like Joseph did to his brethren, the hundred and forty-four thousand. But the church is raptured, and gone in. Remember, when Joseph made hisself known to his brethren, his wife and all of them was in the palace, no Gentiles around. He dismissed them all.
And so they are--the church age dismisses at the 3rd chapter. John was caught up, representing the church. And from there to the 19th, she's not--or, doesn't appear again till she comes to be wed with her Bridegroom. Now, it's the going of the Jews from the 4th on in, the outcome of the Jews.

E-78 Now, if Christ comes and shows Hisself alive tonight... Now, if I have said right, if I have said right that He was Messiah, and the believers... That means He's the "anointed One," and we have His anointing. Won't the same anointing perform the same thing each time? [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.]

E-79 I love you. Brother, it's--it's going to be too late to talk to you like that at the judgment, when you're left. I want you to be ready. We're--we're... I don't know when He's coming. Then you and I become Messiahettes or little Messiahs because we're anointed with the same Spirit.

Now, if you're a believer, now...?... see if the Holy Spirit will move. And if It will, how many of you will believe with all your heart? If It'll do the very same thing It did when It was on a Man called Jesus of Nazareth, you'll believe that the--that Messiahettes is truth.

He was a prophet. He prayed earnestly and shut the heavens, walked right up and said, "Rain or dew will not fall till I call for it." He had an answer. That's the reason I'm standing here tonight before this woman. God promised, and I believe God.

See, a mental power of a man can crack a glass, a sinner is made up to be that... Let God come in there, he can go back and bring the dead back. See, it's His promise. First you find the will of God; then do it.
But say, "It ain't God's will in every..." It is God's will. We done seen it done. I've seen it done about five different times, and I know it's true.

E-82 Now, here's the same thing in an amateur way like Jesus did: speak to the woman. Day before yesterday there was a man come up to my house and stood there, and he said... I started out the gate. I was going to send him over to the office to Brother Mercier and them. He said, "Brother Branham?"
I said, "Yes."
He said, "Could you help me?"
I said, "Well, if you'll go..." Something said, "Take him in the house." Just as soon as he set down, I said, "Don't tell me who you are. I'll tell you." Started off like that, and told him all... The Holy Spirit begin to reveal to me, all of his life.

I said, "Your... You don't live here; you live in Madison. You've been down at Evansville, Indiana, and got in a bunch of a cult down there, didn't you?"
"Yeah."
"Bible school, he thought it was."
He said, "Mercy goodness, man. How do you know that?" And so when we--he went out, he said, "Say, I don't understand that."

E-83 And I said, "Was you ever in one of my meetings?"
He said, "I never knowed your name till just about five... about twenty-five minutes ago. Some man told me when I was passing through Louisville, to come over here; a man named Mr. Sandy." Said, "I never knowed your name."
I said, "Well, well, that's my ministry."
He said, "If I understand it right, Jesus was talking to His disciples and knowed what was in their heart."
"That's right."
He said, "Then that's God speaking through you to me."
I said, "Boy, you know more about it than a lot of them's followed the meetings for a long time. That's right." He said, "Well, praise God, it's all finished now then." There you are.
Boy just flew in from England: same thing. Now, here it is, begin at the Tabernacle. This is about forty-eight years of it. He's God isn't He, sister?
